Neat Freak

Are you a neat freak? Meaning do you absolutely go bananas if you see something on the floor that shouldn't be there? Or, you see a crumb left on the dining table? Or, I can just go on and on! Don't get me wrong there is definitely nothing wrong with wanting less to zero mess. So, if you are that neat freak good for you!

But, let's say your husband or wife is not a neat freak? We still have to accept them for who they are.  I do not believe everyone is born to be that of a neat freak.  That may be you, but would you say you are perfect and basically can do anything.  So, do you allow your spouse to do anything? I hope so! I think you were born with certain strengths and your spouse was as well. That also goes for weaknesses.  It's awesome because The Lord knew or knows just who is needed as your husband or wife in your life.  Those weaknesses you struggle with just may be complemented by your spouse's strengths and vice versa.  Isn't that cool? Try not to forget that.

My husband loves to fix things. I was sad when he told me that after 8 years our tv just suddenly went purple and died.  Then to my surprise, the next day he told me he is going to try to fix it. Now, if it was me I would not know where to begin when it came to fixing technological stuff. See, Joe has the BA in computer engineering, and loves math, science, and anything that revolves around those subjects. Basically,  anything on the national geographic or History channel as well.  Oh, he is a great artist too! Anyway, I strongly dislike math, fell asleep watching film strips at school, dropped Chemistry in college.  Need I say more? I am more the cooker/baker, talker, writer, dramatic talents, music, kind of stuff.  I definitely am nowhere near a comic book character artist or portrait drawer.  I draw stick people and feel very talented when I draw a duck or bird from a cursive letter 'S.' :)

Anyway, me and my husband complement each other.  I definitely am not saying it's not right to marry someone who is exactly like you, No! Who, knows maybe God created you two to be together to enjoy solving Math problems together or something. I think the important thing is that if you guys are opposites don't get too angry at your spouse for leaving a crumb on the table, so to speak.

Romans 15:7

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Matthew 7:1-29

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
