We Need Church Series Part 6: Prayer

I bet you all are probably thinking something like, " we don't need church if we need prayer!"  I know church is not a necessity for prayer. Please know that I believe God hears you no matter where you are, so you don't have to be in a church for prayer. I repeat God can hear you anywhere! I will say that I believe there is power in prayer. And, going back to when I was targeting our brothers and sisters in Christ, where would we find the prayer warriors? Perhaps, friendships or siblings in Christ at a church?

Friends, I truly believe God wants us to share our times when we feel joy so others can praise The Lord with us or share our times of pain or sorrow, so others can just pray for us.  Sorrow, pity, or a sense of fame I guess is not what one should strive for. But, just prayer.  Know that the other person is not feeling sorrow but be encouraged and just pray! I remember years ago my grandpa in the Philippines was pretty sick and near death.  I remember my cousin had told my Pastor at the time, who used to be a missionary in the Philippines and he called my grandpa in the Philippines and shared the Gospel with Him in the Philippine language and my grandpa accepted Jesus Christ!

I love that in today's time, there are so many ways to share prayer requests.  For example, when I feel like the Lord is telling me to ask for prayer for a need I have, I do it.  I may feel like texting my praying friends and asking for prayer, calling someone and asking for prayer.  Or, maybe I don't feel like saying anything and just asking God for help. It's all up to how he speaks to my heart I guess right? We all need prayer don't we? I know I do, and I am not afraid or ashamed or even asking for a pity party, but I just want you to be encouraged and I want prayer! Because, I know and believe God hears all of us!  Sometimes,. I feel the Lord is telling me to ask for prayer by using social media.   Whether you believe in Him or not he hears you! I think that he's always ready to listen to our prayers!
