God Is With Us!

To me, the thought that the almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth and forgiver of our sins is right here with me makes me feel so loved! That means,I am never really alone, God is with me! He lives in my heart and He can live in yours too!

When I first became a born again Christian believer, I did come across words in the bible of his assured presence with me.  And, to be honest I didn't really quite fully grasp that understanding immediately.  Because, ever since I heard the name, God, I automatically thought that because of his ultimate goodness, he automatically was there for me. Well, yeah he was there but in different ways. Let me try my best to elaborate on what I'm getting at.

I believe God knit me together in my mothers womb and His will was for me to be born,  to have the parents that I have and to have grown up the way I did. The question is did I have God in my life, know God and did God know me?  Well, I do believe that if it was Gods will for me to go home as a baby, I would have certainly been with him. It does say in His word that The Lord welcomes all the babies.  However, when I began to develop more understandng aka was older, it  was my will if I wanted to choose God.  He knew what I would choose, but he never forces His will on us.  In my early teens, I decided to follow Jesus and asked Him to live in my heart! From then on, I knew God was always with me. Though, I didn't really understand the thought in my before knowing Christ years, I had no question about God's presence watching over me anymore. I just needed to have the faith.

Let me tell you the reason I chose this topic today.  Last night, I was watching the special and tribute to very well known recording artist who has hits like " Overjoyed" and " Mon Cherie Amor" and others! I am talking about Stevie Wonder! In his closing statement last night, he quoted a verse from God in the bible stating that when 2 or more are gathered in God's name he is there! God's presence is with all his children and I hope and pray he is with all of you as well!
