I guess the story of Adam and Eve introducd the act of hiding from God. If you read the story you see that didn't really work. God, called for Adam and said, "Where are you?" And, Adam who was hiding in the bushes hid because he found out he was naked. God basically said ( How did you know you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I told you not to eat from?) And, there it begins..........
I don't know about you, but even if I know that God would not be happy with my decisions sometimes, I still end up disobeying. I may even think for a second, Oh, it's not that bad or make excuses for making the act justifiable. Let me tell you folks, that is just a waste of time. God actually knows what I am going to do, before I even do it? How's that for a brain teaser right? We will never truly understand that one...yet.
So, the moral of the story is don't think you can hide anything from God. Believe me, it would just be a waste of time. If you feel in your heart God is saying don't do that or stay away from that, then, we need to do just that and not think that our God will blink for a second and somehow miss the sin. Because remember he already knew the sin was coming.
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” (Genesis 3:8-10 ESV)
