Mr. Or Mrs. Fix It

Do you have someone in your life you could literally name Mr. or Mrs. Fix it? Let me elaborate on what I mean more. Sticking to the cold weather, this is an example taken right from my mind just now. Ok, let's say you choose not to go to college or work because the weather is horrible and you really don't want to drive in that kind of weather. So, you think staying home will fix it. Well, let me give some possible consequences from that.

For those college students who stayed home, your professor made it to school and he or she is literally not that nice of a professor and you had a very important final exam scheduled for that day that would have determined if you would graduate.  It was decided there were no make ups. So, if you weren't there you failed the class and were not going to graduate. What a horrible scenario! For people in the work force, let's say the weather was so bad, you decided to stay home from work.  You do have a vacation day, so you decide to use it.  You think everything is fine right? Well, you go into work the next day, and to your surprise your boss is firing you.

Both scenarios are pretty unfortunate. There really is no law against what the professor or the boss chose to do.  For some reason God allowed it to happen. He allowed the bad weather, you were meant to have that prof or that boss. We have no idea why things fall the way they do right ? I guess what I want to stress and point out and believe me these thoughts are going directly to me as well.  And, that is to not try to fix what God allowed to happen. I know we might be really tempted to fall into sin at that moment, but we need to stay away from that and realize what's done is done, and try to move on and try to understand why God put that in your life. Maybe to give you humility, to give you strength, to help you or others in someway and I think most importantly, use the perks of having a personal relationship with him. Talk to God and ask Him for help and strength!  He will give it!

I know it's really frustrating for those Mr. or Mrs. Fix Its. I have MS remember and I can't fix that at all. Believe me, I tried before and that was a waste of time!  But,  I am using those perks from having a relationship with Jesus and it's the only thing that keeps me going strong even when I think I'm getting weak! Hope this helps you!

Romans 8:28 ESV

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 ESV

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 5:3-5 ESV

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
