Deceived

My eyes may get into a motion that would appear like I am winking at you, or mad at you by giving an evil stare when I make my pupils appear smaller or scrunch my eye brows. Or, maybe the sudden closing of my eyes right in front of you will make you think you are not worth my time. Therefore,  I will ignore you. Are you thinking uh oh Sam is rushing  to leave my presence because of the distinct odor you may have or because I just can't stand the sight of you. NO!  I am not trying to flaunt my appearance in your face to capture your attention. I probably am not really angry at you. Of course, you are worth my time! Maybe, I quickly leave your presence because something regarding my sickness is forcing me to leave, like maybe nature is calling, etc. etc. Nine times out of 10 it probably has nothing to do with you.

When people think anything of the above, I seriously feel bad. One time, an acquaintance of mine confronted me lovingly, being my sister in Christ. She told me that she thought I was ignoring her because every time she would try to say hi, I would walk away. She would try everything to grab my attention she thought I would I would ignore her.

Those of you who know me, know that I would never do that unless I really was mad at you perhaps. First of all, I'm really just trying to focus, because I may be having an attack of having double vision. I'm squinting to try to focus because my weird nystagmus is making other objects in my vision area move around. Closing my eyes sometimes helps to rest my vision for a while and then open them up again so that maybe they will be able to focus better. I kinda got used to closing my eyes at times. So, don't think it's really anything bad you have done please.

This made me think of how Satan might work. I think he likes to use his deceiving skills and deceive people a lot. Don't be quick to think the worst of people. Think long and hard of your perception of that person. Would he or she normally act the way you think he or she is acting? Don't let Satan get into your thoughts. He will try, but God is bigger and if you have God, remember all you have to do is say his name and the devil will flee from you. Amen!

James 4:7 NIV

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
