Do They See Jesus In Me? (Hot Button)

When I used to be in the work force, I remember having a couple bosses that were just down right mean and had a hot button that if anyone pressed it, prepare for ultimate yelling and swearing. On the other hand I had bosses I loved and wish I never left. Now. we are friends on Facebook. And, other bosses are just a distant memory.

One thing I do remember though was when those bosses decided to be mean, angry, or yell, no one really said anything to his face, after being in the same presence of the boss. Oh, you better believe people talked about him.  I know I shouldn't have participated in the boss bashing, but remember I am human. It was so hard, but I had to really just zip my mouth and follow my authority when or when not in his presence. I remember one of those bosses knew I was a "church girl" in his eyes.  I would have loved to share Jesus with him, but guess the Lord had a different plan.  However, even though this boss didn't know exactly everything about my faith, I didn't want to ruin his thinking of a " church girl" in his eyes. You know what I mean?

You better believe there were plenty of times, I wanted to say something. I was surprised that being an emotional person, I never cried either.  But, when I got home, my husband heard all about my day. I wonder how this boss is doing now, Does he know Jesus? Well, God meant for me to share time with that boss for as long as I did. Now, I hope and pray my time with him planted a seed of wanting to know more about Jesus. If you know Jesus like me, after many years of having the experience of meeting a diverse group of people, I think a good question to keep in mind is, " Do they see Jesus in me?"

But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. (‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬ NIV)
