He Can Be Pretty Sneaky

We seriously need to be keenly aware and watch out for the devil's hidden lies and be mindful that he's there intending to manipulate us.  Do you realize that?

I'm not sure how the devil works in your life particularly,  but for mine I am pretty sure that I have fallen for his evil antics and became in a sense a little gullible. Satan manipulated me and I fell right into his trap.  I know it.  And, I really need to make sure that doesn't happen.

How does Satan deceive us exactly?  Well, I really think that manipulation is a big factor. An example I'm thinking of is maybe if my husband tells me he doesn't think we should go to church one day because of so and so reason. The devil is putting in my mind that I should push that we should go to church because it is church. See, the devil would be putting in my mind that I should make my husband " feel bad"  for not wanting to go. When I should know God says that me,  being Joe's wife,  I need to be submissive. Remember, God is leading my husband so my husband can lead me.

That was just an example I thought of right now. And actually, i don't doubt that there may have been a similar reality but different situation to that,  that may have happened in the past.

Do you guys see what I'm getting at? I hope so. Because, the devil is a smart and very sneaky character.
Friends, the evil one has a goal in mind. And, that is to make the children of God fall prey to evil ways and be disobedient to God. The unbelievers or people who don't believe in God are just boring to the evil one. There is no type of challenge. You know what I mean? The unbelievers are already disobeying God. So, Satan thinks where's the fun in that?

You know how to not be manipulated or deceived by the devil? Why, the answer to that is clear and simple. And, that my friends is to make sure your minds and your hearts are filled with the word of God!  I'm sure then you will not be manipulated. Enjoy your Saturday!

Thy Word: Amy Grant

1 Corinthian 11:3

But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.

Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, "'He will command his angels concerning you,' and "'On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.'" Jesus said to him, "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.'"  Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me." Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written,  "'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'" Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.
