He Doesn't Need Your Help!

Top of the morning to my Deep Thoughts readers and welcome back to the start of a work, school, whatever, but just new and hopefully fun week. My weekend was okay. Now on to my writing.

I am thinking that most, if not all, of us know one person or maybe more than one person that if asked if they need help will say something like, "No I'm okay."  I'm going out on a limb here and I'm going to say that I'm thinking the majority of those types of people are of the male gender. I don't mean to be sexist, if that's what you think, or being stereotypical of the genders.

In my defense, and in males' defense, didn't God create man to be the provider, supporter, top notch kind of guy? Well, if men were created to be like that, then I'm thinking it would definitely be difficult for them to accept help because in their minds, they're probably thinking they got it. It was put in their blood there by God, right? No help needed here.

Am I making an instance pop in your head that totally coincides with what I'm saying? Well, those types of humans are hot headed and probably actually do need a little help. And the end result is they won't accept it.

Now, I'm thinking about God. And I'm thinking that sometimes I forget that God doesn't need help. And, I'm thinking that I am never really alone. So, if I need help, then I need to ask.  I'm not saying that I always remember to ask. No, sadly to say I may do my own thing. Do you know what I'm saying? Oh I have the perfect example. I just dropped my tupperware of veggie chips and it popped open and yes the chips fell out on the floor. Good thing that happened early in the morning when I have a little bit more strength than usual. You better believe I was calling out for help from God to help me pick up the chips. Final results I picked them up and I was able to close the tupperware back up again. And that my friend is because God helped me!

Way too often, we like to take things into our own hands. Friends, we don't have to do that remember? We have the most powerful weapon of all, and that is prayer! I called out and I prayed for God to help me pick up the chips. We need to always remember that we are not alone in whatever our battles may be! Ask God for help! He will help all of us if we ask him. That's what he said!!!

John 14:13-14 ESV

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Psalm 121:2 ESV

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Philippians 4:13 ESV

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
