Thank God For...

Good morning and happy Friday! Before I start my writing I would just like to give a shout out to Sharon. Remember, I was saying sometimes I'm a drama queen well my Paratransit driver did it again  and almost made me a no-show. It turns out the driver went to a different address so not my fault. God helped me.  I asked for his help because I called the office and they said the driver left me but I'm pretty sure the girl felt bad for me and heard me crying because it turns out they called the driver and told her to go back to Starbucks because I'm there. As I was on the phone with her crying I was saying I'm in a wheelchair there's no way I would be able to leave the Starbucks so I am here I promise you. Anyway, again God had a plan he wanted me to give the business card to this lady. So when she picked me up I gave her the card. And, we were actually going to pick up another lady. She was a much older lady and I offered the card and she looked at it and said maybe you can give it to someone else. I nicely said okay. It's okay I'm thinking at least she was honest with me and didn't throw it away.  Those things are not free.

I know right? Isn't that a weird thing to be thankful for? Feeling that kind of stinks. Seriously, feeling that will haunt you throughout your day? I am really thinking that will disrupt other more important thoughts you need to be having.

Let me tell you why I'm thankful for it and why I think you guys should be thankful for it as well. If you do something bad, that's not good and you should feel bad. You do feel guilty. I really think one needs to feel that so one will apologize and try not to ever repeat their mistakes again.

I love this example that Pastor Greg Laurie shared in his devotion this morning. He was saying something about walking barefoot and suddenly stepping on a piece of glass. Your mind will tell you stop that, don't go any further or you will get really hurt.  Just the thought of this makes me think "Ouch!"

Anyway that just goes to show how powerful our minds are. There are two very important things that are going in our minds, I can think of. The first one is our conscience which let us know we aren't going the right way. The other thing is for those who are born again Christian believers, they are given the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guides their thinking to go the right way. Do you guys know what I'm saying?

I remember having a conversation with my husband a while ago. He made an excellent point by saying that that is the difference between Born Again Christians and unbelievers. See, I get it for the Believers they will feel bad for what they did not want to repeat what they did, and ask God for forgiveness for what they did. For the unbeliever, I'm not going to speak for all unbelievers, but from what I see they don't really feel bad for what they did when they do something wrong. They don't have the Holy Spirit telling them not to ever repeat that mistake again or at least try not to. So, yeah that's what my husband was telling me and I totally agree.

That's my writing this Friday. We do really need to be thankful for guilt. Because, I'm thinking if you are a Believer or if you are not a believer that is the feeling we need to have so we do feel sorry.  And friends, we should apologize, and we should have to try not to do it again. Friends, remember our Lord Jesus Christ took away that guilt! Have a blessed Friday!!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 1:5 ESV

The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
