Life and Death

Anyone of us can leave this earth, at any time. Only God knows when that time will be. Maybe, one will be similar to the mother of Luke and Leia, Ms. Queen Amidala from the movie Star Wars. This woman died while in childbirth to the famous twins.  Sorry, I actually just re-watched this Star Wars movie a couple days ago. My husband, Joe absolutely loves Star Wars. You should see him. The other day when we were watching, I actually took the time to turn my eyes away from the TV and spent time noticing how glued his eyes were to the TV. Seriously, it was as if he has never seen the movie before. There was nothing that could sway his attention away from the TV. His face and his expression was filled with this childlike joy and feeling of contentment. LOL I think you guys get it! So, yes as I was trying to say we can die at any time.

Jeralean Talley. Who is that? That is probably what you are thinking. I'm about to tell you. She was a real life woman, not actress, that died in June of 2015 as the world's oldest living person-- 116 years of age.

Now, that was old. Do you see what I mean? The age for death can never be scheduled or predicted. Even if your doctors say that you only have a couple months to live, I would not be surprised if a couple of months turned into several of years or the next few seconds. Because, like I said, the time of your death is only determined by God!

Do you believe that? What exactly are your thoughts about when you take your last breath here on Earth? Do you think that there is no after life! So, a person may be trying their hardest to collect the best things out of this life. It may be having your sole focus on becoming wealthy. Or, maybe we're living solely for another person? I don't know. It could be anything. You guys fill in the blank. Please understand. Those things are not bad at all. It only starts to become a problem, a big problem, when those things become your top priority over God.

The "blank" should be filled in with Jesus. We all need to be living for Jesus. See, once we leave this life we are assured of our salvation if we choose to accept Jesus as our personal Lord and savior! The question is, have you done that? I hope so. :-) Have a wonderful Sunday!

1 John 5: 11-12

And this is the testimony. God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his son. He who has the son has life and he would just not have the son of God does not have life.
