Who is E. B? Is that maybe what some of you guys might be wondering? I thought I spoke about her once before but maybe not a formal introduction of who she is. E. B is my cat. Let me share a funny story of how she became my cat.
About 14 years ago, I was living in the dorms of UIC and it was Friday and my friend Risa had a cat who was having kittens. So, since she was giving them away she ended up giving me one. My husband remember the story Risa brought a whole bunch of kittens to the school. And, I decided to get one .Now, since I was at the dorms I was not allowed to have cats.
That was Friday , so my husband reminded me that what we did was go to the store get some stuff for the new pet and then we went to the parents house. My husband and I went to my parents' house and surprised them with their new pet. You can imagine how not too happy they were. E. B spent the weekend with me and my parents. Knowing how upset my parents were, I didn't think, they were going to keep E. B.
Then I had to leave E. B, when Sunday came because I had to go back to school. I didn't think that my parents would keep E. B so I had to understand that, I did just bring them the surprise LOL. However, they ended up surprising me.
The following weekend when me and Joe went back to my parents house they told me that E. B basically gave them a change of heart. This cat probably heard my parents talking about not wanting to keep her and my parents said that E. B was going down the stairs slowly and acting sad. So, my parents had a change of heart. AWWW...
I wanted to share a deep thought that I had pertaining to the life of E. B and the Lord. If you don't believe in God, let me ask if you would consider giving God a chance? Who knows he may give you a change of heart, and you guys might end up falling totally in love with him like my parents ended up loving E. B.
Oh, in case you are wondering, E is for Emerald my birthstone and B is for the color blue, my husband's birthstone. :)
Encouraging deep thought for the day:
Be thankful for those friends you have that you don't talk to for years but then when you end up talking to them it is like you talk everyday! Those are friends you should always cherish because you never know when the Lord will decide to bring them home.
