Happy Monday morning! Hi to Chris! Chris is a gentleman I met a month ago here at Starbucks. Yes, he did receive a card from me. :-) He started talking to me and I asked him if he can pick up the cards that I dropped on the floor. Praise God! " He remembered when I gave him my card last time I saw him. So, I don't know why but I felt like the Lord was putting in the heart to ask Chris for a title for my reading today. So, I asked him. Then, he said I'd have to think about that. Then he quickly said motivation for Monday. Thanks Chris! Here goes my reading for the day!
Let me guess. Out of the 7 days in a week, when Monday's come you don't like it. Right? For the career oriented people, I would say nope you do not like it when Monday's come. Poor Mondays! I know, when I used to work a five-day work week the feeling is mutual.
I don't work a 5 day work week anymore but this also is for the retired people, We just don't really pay attention to what day it is. Right?
So, Chris did tell me that a good topic to write about today is motivation for Mondays. Now, well if you know similar to my Facebook cooking show, I am going to put a little twist in the title.
Are you guys really hating on Mondays that much? Okay let me try to help. I will take the motivation route that I have in my title. Okay, friend , are you feeling pretty blessed that you even have a job? If you're on the train or bus be thankful that you have the means to pay for that. Also if you are on a train or a bus be thankful that the person in the front of the vehicle is not crazy and oes not want to kill himself and bring us along with him.
If you are driving be thankful there's no traffic that may slow you down. Also, if you're driving be thankful you're not getting into an accident with another driver. Friends come and be thankful do you even have a job! You can think with your brain that will give you common sense. Be thankful you can read straight. Be thankful that you can type and handle a computer. Be thankful please you have a brain that will speak to your mind and heart and will give you common sense.
Perhaps, there are more things I just don't know about that you should be thankful for. I suggest opening your heart and your mind say thank you God for waking me up this morning, for helping me shower and tidying myself up. And, thank you God that you have this place to go so you can provide or help your husband provide for the family.
Encouraging thought for the day
Why don't you go to your bosses office and just tell him or her you are really blessed you working for them. Thank them or give me employment.
If you don't feel like doing that because you're shy, then stay right where you are open your heart and your mind and say all these things to God!
