YOU can't do anything about it

I wonder if there are people out there who might actually think like that. What I mean is, do some people out there believe that getting into Heaven is automatic? Because it's not. And, let me share my thoughts of why I think this is so.

I'm going to start with his words in the Bible: Not verbatim but something to the effect of if you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and confess with your mouth your sins and know that Jesus will forgive you, then you are assured of your salvation. You,  my friend, will be going to heaven.

Okay, nowhere in that paragraph did I say that someone will do it for me. Nowhere in that paragraph did I say God will automatically send you to heaven. Nope, he's asking all of us people to do something about how we feel. See, that's where free will comes in. See, God doesn't force us to do anything. And, that includes your choice to believe in him.

I know of a religion where they believe if they baptize a baby, they will go to heaven because of the baptism. So, if there are complications at all with a baby they will be baptized. My thoughts about that? Jesus said he loves the little children all the children of the world. Jesus will take the child with him to heaven no matter what.  That means, the child doesn't have to be baptized. He or she was not even old enough to think about what their decision was of whether they believed in Christ or not.

Folks, it is a personal and internal thing. Remember I have said over and over in my readings that God knows our hearts. Do you actually believe in him? Don't let your parents or any loved one answer that question for you. I'm asking only you.

Can all of you out there answer that? You know what?  You don't have to tell me your answer. Well, you can send me a message, if you want to.  I never turn down being encouraged!

Friends, just remember you cannot make the decision for your loved ones to believe in Christ. However, you can pray for them. Are you praying for your loved ones?

Proverbs 16:9 ESV

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Joshua 24:15 ESV

And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

John 7:17 ESV

If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.
