Sorry for the the late writing. I actually had a dentist appointment early this morning. So, I am pretty numb still. I am home now so let me edit what I started to write on my phone in the car.
Let me ask you a question. Do you guys have that special someone out there that knows you really well? I mean they know you so well they can finish your sentences. Maybe, that's your spouse? Maybe, that's your friend or parent. You guys fill in the blank. I'm just talking like these special people can finish your sentences and vice versa. That close!
Personally, for me, that is my husband, aside from God. We've known each other since the late nineties. He just knows me so well. He knows my joys. He knows what gives me pain. Seriously, put us in a game of Catch Phrase and we will dominate!
God knows me like that. God knows you like that and him and her and they. He knows everybody! I'm not afraid to say he knows people more than they even know themselves.
That should be comforting to us children of God. Think about it. Sometimes we just don't feel like telling others how we genuinely feel. Maybe because we are embarrassed to say something. Or, maybe because we are really sad. It could be any reason why we wouldn't want to share our true feelings. You guys have to fill in that blank.
I'm just here to try to encourage you and remind you that our God can be in your heart if you ask him and he totally knows how you're feeling. If you're in pain he says that he can comfort you. If you're worried he wants you to cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you. If you're crying he says that he will wipe your tears dry.
Please don't get me wrong. He will not always do what you want him to do. I'm saying that he can do anything. Do you trust that? Friends, God will know what will come out of our mouths before we even say anything. He knows us so well.
Encouraging thought for the day!
I am thankful for my dentist! He told me today his name is Dr. Painless. I guess it could be worse. But I'm so thankful for my dentist I've been going to since I was like 8. Father, and then now son! Are you thankful for your Dentist? If not, maybe it's time to find a new dentist?
