He Was Kind of....

I actually wrote this writing yesterday. However, I wasn't able to end it. So, I hope it's okay now.
Before I post my writing I have to give a shout out to three gentlemen. And there's this lady who was so nice to get me a straw for my coffee this morning. Her name is Jodi. Hi and I want to say thank you to Greg for getting my charger that fell on the floor. I want to say Hi to Michael for getting my phone that fell under the table. There was another gentleman but I totally forgot his name but he was awesome and plugged in my headphones that I worked so hard to untangle, and they did not even work!! Thank you if you can please message me your name. Not remembering is killing me! I want to give you a proper shout out! Thank you to these guys and Jodi! I pray that my writings will be an encouraging start to your day. . Time to post!

I remember several or maybe a few months ago I was at Corner Bakery one afternoon. I was enjoying my toffee cookie I often would get when I go there. I remember it was cold outside, kind of like today.  I think there were some people who came that would bring food to the Bakery. So, instead of constantly opening the door, they put a stopper. Basically at the bottom of the door there's something you can pull out to stop the door from closing. So, it was convenient for these men. However, remember I said it was going to be pretty cold outside? Well, it was!

I told myself I needed to suck it up. It was only temporary. The guys are almost done. As time passed by, the men's delivery was about to be complete. I was thinking that they would close the door now. Yay! Do you think they did that before they left?

They did NOT close the door when they were all done with their delivery. That was not very nice. Me, being disabled, well it's kind of difficult to just go to the door and close it. So, what I did was say excuse me to this guy in a business suit and I asked if he can close the door.

Do you guys think that he was a nice gentleman and closed the door? Folks, not only did he not close the door, his facial expression, man's tone of his voice was just mean.  He disgustingly said, "I don't work here!"  Friends, believe me, he sounded like a snob! He talked to me like I was some kind of invalid person. I would say he sounded harsh, way harsh!

I know that not everyone is nice in nature. Not everyone is enjoyable to talk to. We all should not expect that of people. No one is Jesus.  However, no one else is you, or him, or her, or they. We individuals are our own person. Each day we see, we live and leave behind a legacy. See, I think God would like us all to leave a good legacy.

See, going back to that mean guy, I really need to extend grace like Jesus did and wants us to do. Now, my example is so tedious compared to others. Oh, I have examples that are much more serious and perhaps very hurtful. Those cases, extending grace and offering forgiveness can be beyond difficult.

If you guys are ever in that predicament where extending grace is difficult, then I think it's time to call on Jesus!

Encouraging Thought For The Day
What's your favorite movie? Have you seen it in awhile? Why don't you ask your spouse, friend, parents or any loved one if they want to watch it with you..

Matthew West: Only Grace

Luke 6:35-36 ESV

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

Luke 6:33 ESV

And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
