Anyway, this verse reminds me of her because she made me realize what that verse really means. She made me realize how really deep the true meaning was. Please think about it. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. I need to reach out to God and ask for help because I have no idea where to go with this writing today.
Okay cool he gave me some thoughts I can work with. Over the weekend, Joe and I were scrolling through the television channels, and ended up watching this movie. I'm not going to share the title or even the names of the actors and actresses. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to guess what it is. Maybe you'll be able to figure it out just by me saying what the plot was about.
Plain and simple. This plot was about sex. This S word is a gift from God. We are not supposed to abuse this S word. Meaning, the S word should only be for a husband and wife. If there is no love or marriage there should be no S word.
In this movie there was an actress that totally took the S word and abused it. She found a guy that was her friend and asked if they could be sex buddies. They had established themselves some ground rules. Once one was starting to fall in love, the other was supposed to leave.
I don't know about you guys, but I am thinking that kind of mind set just welcomes evil. I would stay away from that. To reiterate the Bible verse: love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Folks, we need to be mindful of that all the time. Reverting back to my movie example. The outcome of what those two actors chose to do of abusing the S word, resulted in fighting and always being in a fight. I'm not saying that will always happen. Everyone's different. Right? I am saying that it is what the evil one will do. Maybe he will make you think engaging in sex would result in love. Friends, if you guys want to see the results of love, let the words of Jesus speak to your heart. If what you are feeling I has to do with something against the will of God, I would say rebuke the evil one in Jesus'name!
Encouraging thought of the day
I feel blessed that Joe and I had a great lunch date yesterday with another couple. Are you guys in a couple? Let the Lord speak to your heart until you can encourage or be encouraged by all that God has put in your heart!
1 Corinthians 13:6-7 (NIV)
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Hebrews 13:4 ESV
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
