Cursing Is Revelatory

Happy Friday! It feels so great to be back here at Starbucks. I actually haven't been here since last week. Before I start my writing, after being in Starbucks for a little bit I was feeling the knock (holy spirit). So, I stopped what I was doing and saw this lady in line at Starbucks, waved her over to come up to me. Then, I introduced myself and gave her a card. She was very appreciative and I pray that you will be encouraged by my writing. Have a great day Ronnie!

When I first accepted the Lord at age 15 things changed. One thing I want to talk about is cursing. Before I got saved I used to curse a lot. To me cursing was not revelatory. I really didn't think there was anything wrong with it if you are not saying it derogatory or mean to another person.

Then, I got saved and things changed. Well, I still do curse. I do swear sometimes. However, now the differences when I swear is I feel bad.

Oh how nice, one of the ladies named Michelle was in line at Starbucks and she thanked me for giving her a card and just said hi! Then there was this lady in front of, Michelle named Karen who I gave a card to as well. I pray you will be encouraged by my writings. Have a good day ladies!

Okay where was I? Oh oh yeah feeling bad when I curse. Let me ask you something. Do you feel bad when you curse? A few years ago I noticed something . I noticed that when people who don't know Christ as their personal Lord and savior are around me, they are very cautious of not swearing.

I appreciate that but who am I to tell you not to do something, like swearing. I'm no martyr or of the like. I certainly am not God! So, coming from Sam, My opinion on the subject is I know God doesn't like it. But I'm not the one who's going to tell you to stop doing anything because the Lord doesn't like it. You have a heart like me, I suggest you listen to what it is saying and telling you to do.

Encouraging thought of the day:

Why don't you contact someone you haven't heard from in years? Is there anyone you just want to say hi to?

Meredith Andrews: Revelation

Colossians 3:8 ESV

But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

Ephesians 4:29 ESV

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
