Day After

Oh let me tell you, If you read my writing yesterday, you would notice that it was pretty relevant to the fact being that it was Good Friday. Well, I totally forgot about what day it was. The topic was stored in a list of topics. As usual, I pray before I choose what to write about. And, before I wrote I felt like choosing that topic. When I got home, it just popped in my head that it was Good Friday! Later in the day, when Joe got home, I told him that my writing for the day totally went with the fact that it was Good Friday. I didn't even realize that when I wrote it. He basically responded and looked at me with a surprised expression.  He told me, "I thought that's why you wrote it!" Hehe. Just a little side note I wanted to share. :)

Okay, well now I am keenly aware and I realize that today is the day after Jesus Christ died for us. They call today Black Saturday!

So, I know I mentioned before and stressed numerous times why it was that Jesus died for us. The ultimate reason was because he loves us! When we are separated from our loved ones either because of death or merely because it is time for them to drive away for the day until you see them again another day; when that happens, you probably will miss them.

I don't doubt that we will feel the pain of being separated from those loved ones that will no longer be in your presence. Jesus felt the ultimate pain of being separated from all of us when he paid the price of love on the cross.  Since sin separates us from God, Jesus was separated from God!

"Because of love, Jesus came to earth and was born a baby. Because of love, He received the abuse of the teachers of the law, the crowds, and the soldiers. Because of love, He suffered and died to be the perfect sacrifice, standing in our place before the Father."

Nicole Nordeman :Why

1 Peter 2:24 New International Version (NIV)

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Hebrews 9:28 ESV

So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
