It's Done!

Happy Good Friday! First of all, before I start my writing, I wanted to give a couple of shoutouts to two people I met yesterday. First of all, hello to Greg, my disability driver who brought me home. I pray that my writings will be encouraging for you! Then, when I got to the condo I saw this lady Noria. My hands were pretty shaky so I asked her to dig into my purse to look for a black pouch. There are cards in there and for her to grab one. I said I trusted you LOL. So, l pray that you too will be encouraged by the writings.

Believers in God. Well, if you believe in God then I'm thinking you must believe in what he did for us. Right? So, you must believe that he suffered and then rose from the grave in order for us to be saved and spend eternity with Jesus in heaven!

Okay, folks do you guys understand that what Jesus wants us to do is accept his gift to all of us? It is the decision of anyone of us if we wanted to accept the gift.  Today is not a writing of what will happen if we don't accept it. Today's writing is about those who choose to accept it.

Many years ago, before I became a born-again Christian believer, I don't think I fully understood that. Let me explain what I mean.

The horror and excruciating pain that Jesus Christ went through, was a gift to us. Yeah, for those who choose to accept it.  Why do you guys keep working like you need to earn it? Please don't misunderstand, of course God has some rules, commands, and regulations he wants us to follow. However, he knows we are not always going to follow them. He knows we are going to mess up. And, I repeat he just loves us so much, "Jesus doesn't care what you've done before. No matter how far you've run or how long you've been untrue. Jesus doesn't care. He still offers forgiveness to you."

Hey folks, if you were doing this, then stop trying to earn your salvation. If you have already accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and have that relationship with him, you are saved from the fiery pits of hell!

After Jesus was crucified on the cross, he didn't angrily say something like okay get me off this cross now. No, he said, "It is finished!" I don't know about you guys but that pretty much sums it up.  There's no need for earning my salvation. If anyone of us chooses to accept the gift, death is finished. The prince of this world will no longer have a stronghold on us.

Encouraging thought of the day:

Once you accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior, Satan will no longer have a foothold on us.

John 19:30

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, "It is finished!"  Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.

Romans 10:9 New International Version (NIV)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
