I think that is the question that is on many people's minds. Not a real serious and ongoing thought. I don't think. However every now and then I think the thought comes up in people's minds. Am I right? Are you like that?
I think he is coming soon. However, that's just my personal opinion. That means I don't know exactly the date and time he is coming. But, I think it's soon. I'm entitled to think that. It doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that I can't think he's coming soon or not soon right?
I think the main question that should be on everyone's mind is, " am I even ready for when God comes back?" Friends, do you even believe that there is a God that would come back? I hope so. Because if you don't even believe that, then there is a real problem.
Yes, it is my personal opinion. And you are all entitled to your own opinions as well. And, all I can do is pray that your unbelief will convert to belief in God.
Did you all know that God will not force you to believe in him. Although, I don't personally get why he won't because he is God and he can do anything but whatever. That's how awesome He is, I guess! He gave us free will. We get to make the decision ourselves if we want to believe in God.
I want to share something with you guys. Many years ago, I had a friend that did not believe in God. He did not have a personal relationship with him at all. I remember sharing my testimony with him of how I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal savior. And, his response was not mean, he just wasn't interested in having a relationship with God.
And, that was cool with me I mean it's not like we were going to stop being friends because he was choosing not to believe in God. So, that was that. I did what I was supposed to do and I shared my testimony with him and my relationship with Christ. That was that for me. The rest was up to my friend.
Sometime after our discussion, I remember my friend called me and just felt very frightened yet thankful because my friend got into this car accident that basically made his life flash before his eyes! He was thankful that it wasn't worse and he was alive! He chose to believe in God and embrace him as his personal Lord and savior! See, I didn't do anything but share the gospel. I guess the lord decided to allow something to happen and then my friend chose to accept God as personal savior!
Wasn't that a pretty cool story? Too bad it doesn't happen all the time for people. However, it did for my friend. Thank God! That's what I mean when I say God doesn't force you to believe in him. Your Christian friends should not force you to believe in God.
Encouraging thought of the day: Please enjoy stay off of work because of Memorial Day! Thanks to all those men and women for your service!
Isaiah 56:1 NIV
for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 NIV
This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed.
