The Ultimate Struggle

Hello everybody! I just wanted to say welcome back to another work week. I'm thinking a lot of you were off yesterday for Memorial Day! So welcome back to another day of potentially reading my Deep Thoughts blog! If you only read it maybe on the way to work, or maybe coming home from work on the train or bus, again, welcome back!

This early Tuesday morning I'm going to write about the ultimate struggle or battle. My brother in Christ, Al, was the guest speaker at the church service yesterday morning. I want to share some of his thoughts and just piggyback on his thoughts. :)

What do you guys think is the ultimate struggle or battle? Let me rephrase that and say who do you think the ultimate struggle or battle is against? Yeah that is what I mean. So,without giving details or specifics, something happened this morning that totally gave this writing bulk.

If you are a human that was created by God, I believe that it's safe to say that there are times, maybe just a few or maybe more, when you struggle and before you know it, there is a battle going on between you and Satan.

Friends, do you ever feel evil around you? It doesn't have to be scary. But it's from the evil one when you choose to partake in something that is against the will of God.

Please remember that the evil one cannot read what's on our minds. He can, however, put stuff in our mind. And, if we listen to it and physically or mentally do something about it, we are giving birth to sin.

I am being dead serious. This is some pretty important and significant stuff. Friends Satan hates God. And, Satan could care less about God's people. Well, let me say in a devilish and conniving and harsh and all the is bad way, he is trying to do something. The prince of this world is trying to bring as many people he can to hell with him.

I want to share some thoughts that my brother in Christ Al shared in his sermon in church on Sunday. Everyday before I do the writings, I told you guys that I pray that God would put a topic in my heart. Voila here it is! Maybe there's someone out there reading this and you are actually struggling with this illustration I'm about to give.

You can use a man or a woman for this illustration:

"You are somewhat happily married. There is a person at your work you find very attractive. Remember, things aren't going too well at home with the "must do" aspects of marriage."

You notice this person This person tries to get coffee. You suddenly have a thought in your mind that you are thirsty and would want to get some coffee too. Before you know it you were standing right next to this person talking to this person, First, with small talk. Then, before you know it starts to get more personal. Perhaps, there will be an exchange of words regarding the negative aspects of your spouse. You are sharing with a stranger what you are lacking from your marriage when you should be speaking to your spouse.

Then, maybe you prefer the coffee at Starbucks. Then, you and the friend decided to go there. After weeks of hanging out at Starbucks, you really get to know this person. And, the attraction you first felt when the person was at the water cooler is so strong. The meeting place turned out to be the Holiday Inn hotel. Your marriage is ruined.

Will you tell your spouse about the adultery and say sorry and hope for forgiveness? I have no idea. My husband, your husband, me or you if you are married that is. We made a vow to our spouse. That was all because of the work of God. Being with your spouse was all due to the work of God.

I told you Satan does not like anything that has to do with God. So, if you are a child of God, he's going to mess with you and try to drag you down so low in your life. It may hurt so bad.

Humans can make promises to keep their vows to their spouses to remain faithful. However, we really need to be mindful not to entertain and give birth to the sinful ways Satan is going to put in our minds. Folks, we have the power of God to rebuke the evil one in Jesus' name as soon as he enters our thoughts. We have God's power but our human side is weak. And, that is what Satan is trying to attack.

Oh before I end this writing I wanted to shout out to Jim and Shane. When I was doing my writing my friend Patty came, so before she bought coffee for her boss I asked if she can help me to the bathroom. Of course she was willing to help but it's kind of difficult when I'm sitting on the chair and then I want to transfer to the wheelchair. So unfortunately she wasn't able to help completely so I did fall in the floor. But, thanks to this nice gentleman sitting at the table next to me.  He picked me up off the floor and put me back on my chair and then of course I offered him one of my cards and told him about what they are about and also offered one to his friend Shane! I hope you two gentlemen are encouraged by my writings.

Okay, now let's end today's writing. Basically, because of our human nature there is a high chance we humans will be tempted and fall into sin. That is the very bad news. The very good news is if you are a True Believer in Christ, then you have the power to rebuke evil in Jesus's name!

Encouraging thought of the day:

God will provide help when you need it, just ask!

James 1:15 ESV

Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

Matthew 26:41 ESV

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
