This topic I'm going to write about has been in my list of topics for a while. After reading my devotions this morning, now I know why! Today is the day I'm going to write about quality versus quantity good time to dive in!
In the late nineties the very first church I used to go to was in the middle of a split. Why? Well, I don't want to display the reasons. First of all I totally forgot specifics and second of all it's really not relevant to what I am going to write about today..
Because of the church split, we ended up building another church. I can remember those left and those very eager and very willing to branch out of the main Church and build our own church. Talk about faith right?
For months we would still have meetings in people's houses, we rented a high school , we would pray and pray and pray and the Lord provided.
We know God will provide the building. We did not want to lose encouragement we have with people. We knew that God would provide the quantity, and we just have to work on the quality. And we did. This is what happened.
We now have New Hope Church. The congregation is not as big of an attendance like Moody Church. But I guess God doesn't think we need that right now. Maybe in the future? Only God can tell.
All I know is even when we were a small group of people my man JC was still in the center. This should encourage you because more than 10 years ago he started out as like 10 to 20 people. I think I'm not too sure of the number exactly. All I know is it was small compared to what we have now. I repeat it was more than what we initially had when we first started! Friends, don't be discouraged remember there's always hope in front of you!
Encouraging thought of the day:
There's always hope in front of you.
