The G Team

Happy early Saturday morning friends! Typical early Saturday morning for me: Joe to the left of me snoring away, me, halfway ready for the day just need to get dressed and put makeup on.:) The only difference this Saturday morning is EB is not at the foot of my bed. She did sleep on the bed last night, so she probably got sick of us and decided she would much rather lay on the couch now. Lol. It's all good. :)

Time for Sam to write about the "G-Team." What is the G-Team? Well for those of you who guessed that G stands for God, when it comes to this writing, you are correct! So, I mean God's team!  Are you on God's team? Are you not on God's team? Let me share some thoughts.

God is all about togetherness, helping out one another, basically all that entails the showing of love, right? I think when he was creating us, that's what he was thinking, number one! Let me elaborate more by taking some verses from the Bible.
"Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?"
1 Corinthians 12:15‭-‬17 NIV
See, what I mean? God knew exactly where to place each one of us as part of the body. Each part was different and had different duties but they were all part of the same body. And God knew that our bodies needed each part to work together so that our bodies would be successfully trying to work together.

I also think of the SJ Team. That is the Samantha and Joseph team. See, God knew to put the two of us together as husband and wife. See, my husband and I complement each other. I am the talker, writer, actress, singer and Joe is the math guy, chemistry guy, science guy, amazing artist, and lover of comic books. For me, I'm not dead set against any of those things at all if they're a necessity. Joe also would not really oppose any of my interests as well if they also came to being necessities.

I'll give you an example like today, in a few hours my husband and I are going to catch a matinee showing of Guardians of the Galaxy. Would I voluntarily go out of my way just to watch this movie in the theaters? Probably not. I would probably wait till it got on Netflix. However, I know how excited my husband is to watch this movie. So, as a husband and wife we have to make certain sacrifices for each other. That's part of being on a team!

Encouraging thought of the day:

How about you guys? What team are you guys on? Are you making sacrifices and do you complement one another?
