Stop Being THAT!

Happy early Friday morning! Don't we all struggle with this? I mean the words judging comes to mind first. And, then we utilize all we have within ourselves to convert people's mindsets. Like as if we can, right? Oh, then maybe, well I'm speaking for myself, comes disobedience, not listening well, basically ticking people off.

Folks, you and me, the person next to you, we are not know-it-all's. That is something we need to remember. Yes, we can influence people. But, the only way people will change out of their bad ways is if their influence from us is positive.

How can my influence to other people be positive? Is that what you were asking yourselves right now? Well, let me share some thoughts. And I know, believe me, I know it is so difficult when I'm saying we shouldn't be like that.  What I really mean is we should not be someone's Holy Spirit.

I don't know about you guys. But for me, ever since I got married, I can (possibly with cheeks getting red if I wasn't Filipino because most Filipinos don't blush LOL) I would say that I took the role time and again being my husband's Holy Spirit. And, let me tell you it does nothing but go south. What I mean is, you will not see a change. What you will see is Wrath!

Friends, if you don't stop what you know you were doing is wrong, you just might never stop. I'm thinking that if you really know and realize what you're doing is wrong, and have the goal and the drive even the mindset to want to change that bad habit of yours, eventually your heart will change.

I'm encouraged because every time I see a friend of mine, she always reminds me not to be my husband's Holy Spirit. I am not my husband's Holy Spirit. Now, due to imperfection, I'm pretty sure she falls and becomes her husband's Holy Spirit sometimes. However, I see in her life and by the way she speaks with her husband, she tries not to be her husband's Holy Spirit. I think it also helps tremendously that her and her husband share the same faith and pray for each other probably in similar ways.
