Emerald Blue (EB) Obituary.

This happened yesterday. So now I want to give a shout out to Cali.  I dropped my plate after lunch and she was in line to get a drink but she saw me and she picked it up! You're awesome girl! Remember to start your days with encouragement!

Okay, now it is today and the "famous knock"  went off. Remember that is the Holy Spirit telling me to speak to someone. :-) I gave the card to Caitlan. And, she was so nice and I pray that you will be encouraged by my writings!

Today I also want to begin my writing with the series of events that happened yesterday when we said goodbye to our beloved cat Emerald Blue.  EB for short.

As I've said before, I really value you guys as my friends. It's weird it's like even though I don't physically know probably most you, per say, I still feel pretty comfortable when I do my writings for us. I really get encouraged when I see many people reading and liking my readings for the day.

So, basically EB was watching the Cubs game last night with me and Joe and then something inside me wanted to call and inquire about her with the emergency hospital clinic. Then, my husband said EB was starting to get really bad and looked like she was going to die. So, when I spoke with someone in the 24 Hour Emergency Animal Hospital and told them of her symptoms. They wanted us to bring her there right away.

So, I held her in my arms like a baby as we sat in the front seat of the car. Joe drove to the Animal Hospital which was 20 minutes away.  It seemed like forever. She was shaking periodically in my arms, convulsing, and her eyes were so cloudy. When we finally got to the Animal Hospital, the receptionist called the vet and said that they needed him STAT! They took me and Joe to a room to wait while they examined EB. Within minutes they told us she passed away. Her heart was so weak.  And the, along with that she did have liver disease. The vet asked us initially what we wanted to do.  Did we want to resuscitate her or not? My husband and I of course did not want her to pass away but we knew what we had to do. It is so sad. Wow for both me and Joe this was the first time we really lost a beloved pet together.

I remember when I first got her. I first got her when I was in college in 2002-2003. My dear friend Risa had a cat that had kittens. She brought a good number of kittens to the dorm. And, without even thinking that I wasn't going to be able to have a cat in the dorms, I brought her home and silly me I surprised my parents with their new pet. You can imagine how that initially went.  I'll give you a hint.  They were not too thrilled. Then,  I think God helped us out. Let me explain.

My parents shared this story with me that happened years ago. When Joe had to take me back to the dorm. EB was standing outside their door. They heard her meowing loudly for us to come back. Then my parents saw her slowly and sadly going down the stairs.

The result is she lived with my parents' house for like 17 yeaWhen my condo finally approved of my therapy pet, it was so nice having her live with us for a while. :-)

In case you're wondering we are having her cremated and spreading the ashes in the lake or dad just told me he wanted to spread them in their backyard. The hospital also said there's a thing where they they'll take her paw print and put it on a ceramic as a remembrance for her family.

Encouraging thought of the day:

Pets are such a nice thing to have. For me, it's really nice to have a therapy pet. And if you have one, treat them with love and respect. I'm actually thinking right now how God loves his children (me) so much.  He provided me a means of companionship and adoration. Thank you Lord for pets!!

Luke 12:6 ESV

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God.
