When my husband got home from work, I knew what I needed to do and I told him that I lost my wedding ring. He actually was very understanding, thank God. Like I said, if it was the engagement ring, that would be a different story. Probably. LOL.
Part of me felt pretty bad for losing such a prized possession given by my husband. Kinda reminds me of when people feel pretty bad, myself included, about the grace given by Jesus Christ. I think we may forget sometimes that because of Jesus' death and resurrection he has forgiven us of our sins. And, that is all about grace. Grace that he has given to all of us that we do not deserve. Not one bit.
I think what we all need to remember is yes you may be right in saying you don't deserve this grace. However, this grace is a gift from God. And, all you have to do is grab it and accept it! Be so thankful for it because, I repeat, you are right we do not deserve it!
Friends, once we turn the control of our Lives over to Jesus Christ we will be filled with an unexplainable feeling of joy, peace, and contentment. Please don't misunderstand because I'm not saying that the feeling will last you a lifetime, but once you are there you will know exactly what I'm talking about! And, it is pretty awesome! Folks, I think we really need to remember to stop sinning when we are already given the grace and forgiven!
I know that some of you guys know exactly what I'm talking about. Here's an illustration. You commit a sin. You feel horrible. You do XYZ to try to fix the sin. You might really do anything just to fix your feeling bad of this sin. Perhaps, you will say tons of prayers. Perhaps you will change your demeanor for a couple days and just be the nicest person on the Earth? I think you guys understand what I'm saying. You smart people you! Actually, just fill in the XYZ with your own personal thoughts. Kind of similar to when I lost my wedding ring, right? I remember how bad I felt on that day.
So, here's the rest of the story. I believe when I got home from Starbucks and looked around the condo for my ring, I called Starbucks and asked if they see my ring. Maybe it was by my table. Unfortunately they didn't see my ring. So, I figured it was goodbye to that ring. It was okay.
The next day when I went to Starbucks, it was still a little sad but I had to get over it. When I sat down at my table, one of the Starbucks workers, Marta, came up to me and said someone turned in my ring! So, I put my ring on and I was very happy!
Encouraging thought of the day
When you lose something very precious come and realize that maybe the Lord wanted you to lose it so he can help you find it again or he can use someone to help you find it!
Remember and call it Grace of Jesus Christ!
Unspoken : Call It Grace
