You can think of it as your outward characteristics being beautiful or maybe you have a beautiful mind as well. Bottom line is, you are beautiful! And, mainly it's because you are a creation of God and we know he only makes beautiful things!
Okay, I think you got the point. For today's writing I actually titled it "mocker" ? I put a question mark not only because I want you guys to think are you a Mocker, but I also put a question mark because I'm not even sure if that's a word. It seems like it should be. Well, if it's not what I mean really is someone who mocks. And, for this writing I want to talk about someone who mocks the faith. Time to do this!
When I try to think of someone I think is a real mocker of the faith, you know who comes to mind? Mr. John Lennon. For those of you who don't know him, he was an ex member of The Beatles who passed away many years ago.
John's story of how he was introduced to the faith, almost overtly accepted the faith in Jesus Christ and turned away from the faith is quite an interesting story and series of events.
Basically, the story I heard was that someone had introduced him to Christ and Christ was able to reach his heart, however, something else or someone else was also speaking to his heart and it was saying to turn far away from anything about God.
I'm thinking this kind of relates to the Bible story of King David and Bathsheba. See, in this story a beautiful girl was speaking to David's heart and mind. She wanted David. He soon became a disobedient King. He definitely let the power and the character of a women's being overtake the power of God!
Seriously, if you are a woman reading this think about what I am saying. We, women really do have some type of power over the opposite sex. It is our personal show of how we want to use that power. I am thinking definitely not negatively use it like I'm thinking if we put the "s word" in a scenario.
In the King David story with Bathsheba, instead of following God King David fell in the act of disobedience and utilized his human nature. David let his eyes see Bathsheba taking a bath. And, I guess he let his emotions run wild . Then, sadly to say he later committed adultery with Bathsheba.
See the similarity I'm getting? Both John Lennon and King David fell into disobedience and went against the will of God. I believe that later in life from other Bible stories King David repented and was once again was following God.
Unfortunately, from stories I've heard John Lennon let his female influence convert his thinking away from believing and living in Christ.
Oh please don't misunderstand that. I may be surprised when I get to heaven. I have no idea what goes on in people's minds seconds before they leave this Earth. So, maybe he did turn his life over to Christ. I don't know the heart of other people like Mr. Lennon. To reiterate, I just may be pleasantly surprised when I get to heaven!
Encouraging thought of the day:
Wanna try to share the gospel to the person to the left of you.
