I honestly and truly believe that if God were to have a band, nobody would have a solo. What does Sam mean by that? Well, let Sam tell you.
You see, if you are part of the family of God, God is all about his people working together to achieve the ultimate goal. I'm thinking like in a church service. God created people differently with different talents. And, we always hear God is all about togetherness and love.
I'm thinking what about all the different body parts of a human being. God created each part to perform different responsibilities. And then God created other parts to have their own responsibilities in order for the human body to work properly. See what I'm saying? All those parts of the body need to be able to work properly and work together. It does say in the Bible that a particular body part is not anywhere knowledgeable or capable of doing another body parts job.
Now, is my title making a little more sense. God is not all about giving just one all the responsibility of getting some crucial business done. No, remember, he wants togetherness. Like equality, in the terms of fairness. Remember God is a God of justice. He is a pretty smart man. I can just imagine the fights and arguments if only one carries all the responsibility. It would be a mess.
So, basically, what I'm saying is there are no solos in the band God created. I don't know verbatim but I'm thinking of that Bible verse about the hand saying I'm not a foot so I don't know how to kick. That's your job! Or, something like that LOL. You know what I mean.... ;)
Have a blessed day everybody!
1 Corinthians 12:14-26 English Standard Version (ESV)
14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
