1. Is this a bible-believing church?
2. Is this Christ-centered?
I'm sure there are other personal questions for each individual, however, those are the 2 most important questions, I think.
Do you guys understand what I'm trying to say? There are some religions, false religions, from paganism, that are really considered evil. Why do I say that? Well, I say that because certain types of religions take total focus away from Jesus Christ. God does not want that at all!
Religions have so many rules people need to follow if they want to stay being a part of that particular denomination. I found that some of the rules were man-made but those rules, some of them, were not even in the Bible. So, we're not even sure if they are from God. To reiterate, before you become part of a religion, ask yourself those two questions. Is this a church that is Christ-centered and is this a church that is bible-believing?
Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I'm just saying that having the relationship with God is more important than focusing on your religion. Can you have a relationship with God and not go to church? I believe if that is what God is telling your heart then then do it! Maybe you are very disabled or ill and are bedridden. God will totally understand.
However, if you are able and you feel in your heart that God is telling you to find that church that will help you grow as a Christian, then, he will lead you to whatever he wants you to go to so you can mature in your faith. I guess friends, let me give you my deep thoughts on what we gain from attending that church God is calling you to.
Well, for me personally when I go to church it's a wonderful thing! People always tell me when they see me at church that they are encouraged! They're encouraged because they see a disabled woman coming all the way from the Northside going to church on the Southside! See, the focus should not be on ourselves and how the churches is impacting us. Really, the focus should be on how we ourselves are impacting the church and encouraging other people.
It's horrible when people will leave the church because of a little mishap with another member of the church. When God leads you to whatever church he wants you to go to, there you can become baptized in the name of the father and the son the Holy Spirit! When God leads you to whatever church he wants you to go to, the pastor is speaking words from God that God would like you to know. When God leads you to whatever church he would like you to go to, he's telling you to utilize whatever spiritual gifts he gave you so other people can be encouraged and maybe he will utilize you in building the church in maturity and growth!
Folks, it's so not about the religion. It's about the relationship you have with God. Do you have a relationship with God? Once you commit yourself and ask God to come into your life, he will lead you to do something that will help you grow and mature in your Christian Life!
Encouraging thought of the day!
Are you a member of a Christ-centered bible-believing Church? Perhaps, now is the time that you should be?
