When you were little, can you ever remember just being scared because of something you saw? Like, I have no idea. It could have been anything scary. I know when I was little there were times I would just be scared to sleep alone in my room because I thought I saw a monster! Maybe, that is exactly what I saw in my mind. Friends, remember evil can totally mess with your mind and put stuff in your mind. Joe and I are going through the bondage breaker and let me share some points from that that are so interesting. You know people who are diagnosed as schizophrenic or any other kind of mental disorder? Where do you think that stems from? Again, Satan is messing with your mind. Are you guys personally suffering with something like that? You can be free from bondage and just rebuke the evil one and call On Jesus!
- Let me share something with you guys. My husband, Joe, shared something with me as we were doing this reading of the Bondage Breaker. I never really knew how bad it really was. This is what he said. When he was younger he believes he was oppressed. He used to play with little dwarfs that were in a jar. Many years down the road his aunt who has now become a born-again Christian believer told me some of the things he did and was introduced to. If I was a kid introduced to stuff like that, yeah I probably would find them amusing, probably entertaining, definitely not scary. Evil doesn't like to make things look scary. Evil likes to make things look fun to play with.
Many years down the road, now as we are both born again Christian believers. Evil things like that are not scary to us in a way we can just say get out of here Satan in the name of Jesus! As we were reading the Bondage Breaker yesterday, we were reminded that we are clothed with the full armor of God to protect us from evil!
Let me explain. Evil beings liked to grab onto things, so to speak. I actually was confused about the subject so my husband explained it more clearly in a way I can understand. I'm better with illustrations and pictures that I can formulate in my mind. Let me give one illustration that Joe shared with me to try to help me understand more. Okay a good example he gave was say we are surrounded by idols. Pretty sure there would be more than one demon that grabbed hold of the idols. Folks, do you understand what I'm saying? It clearly states in the Bible what God feels about idols? Do you guys understand what I'm saying? You're more than welcome to please check out in the Bible more thoughts on Idols. Hopefully you will be both encouraged and maybe a bit more alarmed.
What are your thoughts on demon possession? Yes it is real. Can anyone be possessed? That is just a controversial question that has been going around for years. It's up to you to think if Christians can be possessed? I personally don't think so cuz we can just easily rebuke the evil one in Jesus's name. However, I don't see how that would be possible if one does not even believe in God and what Jesus has done for us.
A while back my husband shared with me that he believed before he became a Christian he knew someone who was constantly being possessed. And the sad part is, this evil was manipulating and conniving people to think that this possession was from Jesus Christ! Folks, there's no mention in the Bible of Jesus Christ going into another human's body. Think of it this way, if God wanted to control us, our bodies in particular, why would he give us free will? Please remember that. Are you a true born again Christian believer? If you are ever in that kind of presence, rebuke the evil one in Jesus name right away! That's all I will say about that.
Is your heart making you feel scared or uneasy? Look around in your house. Do you think you have anything around in your house that Jesus would have liked. Do you have anything in your house that evil can grab onto and live there for I don't know how long?
I'm going to share something with you that happened to me personally. I don't think I was possessed but I think I was under the influence of the evil one. Me and my husband were vacationing and I have no idea why we did this but we purchased an artifact or souvenir that totally made me feel uneasy. My heart was in overdrive.
I shared with my husband my thoughts of the artifact and I suggested we should get rid of it. He thought I was crazy probably and said it's just an artifact. I prayed and I told God he knew how uneasy I felt. I told God that if you wanted to take the artifact then then for him to speak to my husband's heart. Because I knew already how mad he was with me. And, I totally felt God was telling me get rid of the artifact, even if you and Joe are going to fight.
So, I kid you not within like minutes it's like I did not even care about anything anymore. We could have totally kept the artifact. Joe said I was like a different person I was like swearing I wanted to watch scary movies, I wanted to to see the artifact and that
I was crazy. I was not normal Sam. And you know what Joe did after waking me up from this wicked spell type thing. He took the artifact, went out of our hotel room and threw it in the garbage. I was like back to normal Sam. We prayed, and it was back to normal Sam.
That was a horrible couple hours. But God said I had needed to go through that so we can get rid of evil. You know what, the evil was still trying to come back. One of the cleaning ladies took it out of the garbage and asked if we wanted it back. Anyway I just wanted to share that little story with you. I just realized something how did that cleaning lady even though it was from us. weird
Back to the gist of my writing. Oh yeah, so Joe felt like he was a oppressed when he was little. He remembers even physically being sick a lot. He would have convulsions and seizures. Now he tells me he knows why and we are trying to break free from this bondage that Satan has over all of our lives. Remember, he is the prince of this world but when Jesus comes back he will be thrown into the fire Lake of Fire as his final fiery destination.
Now, Satan is trying to get all of the people he can. That's all he can do. If you have accepted Jesus and are a child of God you don't have to be worried at all because you have the name of Jesus in your heart and Satan knows that and he cannot get you to go with him anymore. However, he will try to make your Christian life as miserable as possible. He will try his best to stump your growth and maturity in Christianity.
One very important and I think is very significant thing is
this. Well, I did Begin by saying it does start with your mind. That is why I
have been very careful and cautious of what goes into my mind. For example, I
don't watch scary movies that will have scary illustrations and pictures. I
really pay attention and have really does well we pay attention to
what we think evil can easily take hold of and hang on to which eventually will
be introduced to us.
Just last week, my husband mentioned this one lady who lives
here in the condo. we see her sometimes walking around, and is just very weird
and also talks to herself. My husband told me of the day that woman probably
had the demon inside of her. I said oh I never even thought of maybe that's
what it could be. I just totally felt uneasy when I was around her and my
discerning spirit was definitely telling me something wasn't right. However,
thank you Lord that I'm always protected
.
There was this other lady that I mentioned briefly before
who, now that I think about it, also probably had a demon. She asked my husband
to show his thing and play with it in front of her and and another time she
even told me that I have what's coming to me and she repeated it to more people
walking down the sidewalk. Evil is out there.
I want to end my writing today with this little story when me and Joe first moved into the condo probably like more than 10 years ago, Joe decided to do a little cleanup of the place. He found a lot of evil stuff and we were even given some stuff. I did not say anything. But Joe, the Holy Spirit was speaking to his heart and he threw everything away. All I will say was he even found a Quran hidden on top of our pantry.
Folks, if you don't believe it, believe it because evil is real and it is everywhere. That is why we need the full armor of God to Shield against the fiery arrows the evil ones will be shooting at us. I've said this before, Satan does not like God. Satan doesn't like anything about God and that includes God's children.
Just because me and my husband are born again Christian believers, just because my auntie is a born again Christian believer, just because my cousins are born again Christian believers, that does not mean that Satan cannot put thoughts in our minds.
Like I said we've been reading the Bondage Breaker, and one important part is that it all starts with our minds. We need to fill our minds with the love of Jesus. Basically, fill your mind with God's love and his word. Don't let evil get a stronghold on your life. Don't listen to the evil whispers from Satan telling you to get into sin.
