My Contacts

What am I going to write about today? I'm going to write about contacts. Specifically, putting contacts in my eyes in the early morning. Those of you who personally know me, would probably wonder how I would be able to do that. I honestly am on board with you. It's still sort of a puzzle to me how I'm able to do this. And, I also pretty much know the answer. God helps me, not literally all the time though. I honestly don't get that. However he is God and he has his reasons that make perfect sense. I guess it really gives a whole new meaning to the phrase walk by faith.

A couple days ago it was no problem. Sometimes in the past I feel in my heart God tells me don't put your contacts in.  Sometimes I take a blind shower AKA I wasn't able to wear contacts.  Talk about "blind faith" because I was able to successfully take a shower even with no contacts. That is a little adventure that happens every now and then. ;)

This never happens but today is the second day in the world I was putting in my contacts and it fell, eventually, on the floor. I have to wake Joe up when things like this happen.

For the second day in a row I called Joe for help because I dropped my contacts.  I was praying that he would find my contacts. I actually just got a new pair of contacts. So, what happened was Joe actually found the contact that I dropped yesterday. It was all dried up so it went to the garbage. Then, Victory!  He did end up finding my contacts that I dropped. Thank you Joe! Thank you Lord!

What I have learned from reading marriage help books like "Love and Respect" by doctor Emerson, speaking to more mature Christian's of the same sex as me, and seeing for myself Hands-On from other people of the opposite sex, specifically my husband, is the deep thought I would like to share...

Men are all about fixing things. Remember God created men to be the provider for the wives.   God created our husbands to be our spiritual leaders. Fellow wives, I know it is so difficult to listen to them sometimes. And I know it's so hard not to fall into an argument. I think I am the queen of arguments in my marriage. :(

Wives (and Sam very much included) listen to this, or maybe I should say read this very carefully.  Fellow wives, we need to listen to what they're saying. Listening to our husbands shows them that we respect them.

Another thought I would like to share, and I really believe is so important, is this. Our heavenly father created our husbands to be spiritual leader of the wives.  I'm not saying that wives are obedient to that all the time, and I'm thinking of myself.

I want to share something else with fellow wives. Facial expressions, speaking under your breath, nonverbal negative actions, are all actions the wives do that will make the husband feel like they are not getting the respect the Lord wants them to get from their wives.  I think if the wives are not respecting their husbands and I disobedient to God. That would make God really sad because he knows what that may lead to. Husbands not getting the respect they should be getting from their wives and wives not receiving love from their husbands may lead to divorce, unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, and all things that are bad.

So, what do I say to that? What can I say to avoid that? My friends, all I can see is embed in your brain, and instill in your minds, and be keenly aware if you are showing love and respect to your spouse. Pray to God for help. I think he will want to know if your desire is to show your spouse love and respect. I think he loves that you were asking him for help in obeying his command. Just one of the many perks we have when we decide to have a relationship with Jesus. Do you guys have a relationship with Jesus? Did you personally ask him to be your Lord and savior? Do you understand that once you that you are clean from all of your sins you are promised the gift of eternal life in heaven?!

Check this out. I had to use the bathroom remember I told you about Patty the woman I met at Starbucks one day 7 months ago?  She came up to me and said I work across the street, and if ever you have to use the bathroom just text. Well, I had to go the bathroom really bad. So I sent her a text and she came within 5 minutes.  She actually was here yesterday and she introduced me to her co-worker but I forgot to give her a card. So today I gave Patty the card to give to her co-worker. Also the Holy Spirit tugged at my heart and I gave this card to a girl in line to get a coffee, named Amber.  Amber thanks for accepting my card and I pray you will be encouraged by my writings and start you day with encouragement  There was this one lady here at Starbucks that I met this morning and they said oh I got to give this lady card. So at lunch time I called out for her. And then gave her a card she's a new Starbucks.  A worker named Kisha. Girl thank you for accepting my card and being so sweet. I pray you have a wonderful day and I also hope you'd be encouraged by my writings!

I also want to thank Seth for picking up my Ipad when it fell on the floor.  I gave him a card too so I hope you'd be encouraged by my writings Seth!  Oh!  This one lady named Sharon also stopped and complimented me on my hat.  Of course, I gave her a card!  She read the card and realized I was an MS Activist.  She said her mom died of MS.  She was also telling me about Tai Chi being really good for MS so she said she will forward me an email.  I hope you have a wonderful day and be blessed and encouraged by my writings.

Encouraging thought of the day:

Tell the next person you see to have a wonderful day!

Ephesians 5:33 ESV

However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
