Walk By Faith

Jeremy Camp: Walk By Faith

Good morning.  Before I do my writing this morning I just want to make a disclaimer. I kinda wanted to throw something out there saying kind of like what they do on those reality shows like "Ridiculousness."  That is, don't try this at home! (unless you feel in your heart that the Lord tells you to do that)

Well, okay here it is. I think for me, I guess, maybe I do play with or toy with the mixture of faith and potentially a small hint of hurt and danger. Let me elaborate more on what I mean.

When I stay home and I'm alone in my condo, like today, what am I thinking? Well, today I truly believe God is helping me. Oh, I forgot to mention when I'm getting ready for the day I know that there are a bunch of risky maneuvers I make. If my husband saw me, like in the bathroom, he probably would be so scared that I would hurt myself. I don't know what it is.  I just really have the faith. Sometimes the faith does not fall in my favor, but I can't really explain it.  Maybe you have to be a child of God to know what I'm talking about.

I would close my eyes a lot when I'm taking a risky move because my eyes are bothered. However my husband will kind of be frustrated and upset and be like, "Open your eyes!" And, I see how that make sense (no pun intended). However, I trust and have faith that God is going to help me even if my eyes are closed. Because he told my heart to close my eyes. Like the song, Walk By Faith by Jeremy Camp says that "Your hand will guide my every way! I will receive the words you will say every moment of every day. I will walk by faith even if I cannot see."

Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying. Walking by faith is probably the hardest thing to do in your life. All the years that I have known Christ I've seen his faithfulness.  Let me ask you a question. What about you guys? Are you guys strong in your walk with God? Are you willing to close your eyes and walk by faith even if you won't be able to see?

Encouraging thought of the day:

Treat your pets like they are a gift from God because they are!

2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Hebrews 11:6 ESV

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
