Ability Vs. Availability

I don't think God is interested so much in our abilities to do things. I do think that he's very much interested and would like us to be available. In other words he's more interested in our availability. Do you guys understand what I mean? Let me elaborate more.

A good scenario that is coming to my mind right now is this. Say someone is not musically talented. This person cannot carry a note. I guess God just didn't choose to bless this person with musical abilities.  Now, does that mean that in the privacy of their own home they should not sing? Does that mean that in a big congregation filled with other people singing with beautiful voices, or not being able to carry a tune, that person should not sing?

Of course, at any time, praises to our Lord are being sung and being shouted and exclaimed, people should contribute!  Because when two or more are gathered together in his name he is there! Because, we need to understand that God is not interested in people's ability so much, well not as much, as their heart.

I like to think of it as God's divine appointments. So, if you or me were put in an opportunity where we can give our praises to God, then we have to show whatever God has given us talent-wise to give our Praises back to God!

Remember, our almighty God is not interested so much in people's abilities. I mean he is a little, I think. He did give it to us, after all.  However, once a person makes themselves available to whatever God wants them to do, I believe God will be in charge of making you able to do what he wants you to do.

Isaiah 6:8 ESV

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Matthew 18:20 ESV

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
