You guys are probably thinking what is going on in Sam's mind today? LOL let's Dive In!
Well, first of all you know how the slogan for Nike is "Just do it?" Well, that's good for them. However, for this writing I'm totally not endorsing that we should just do this. Actually, just doing what I'm about to say, I found, will only tick people off! Well, I know it does for me. I have a tendency to go into defense mode when this happens. Maybe what I'm going to be talking about in this writing will sound familiar to you too.
Okay, enough dillydallying. What I'm talking about is comparison. Do you end up comparing other people? Maybe other people will compare you to someone else. That is a subject that is pretty close to home. What about you guys?
I don't think me and my husband, family members or friends encounter this everyday. That would just be crazy! All I know is comparing does happen within time. To reiterate it will only bring up bad feelings. It will bring out a horrible debate that really is not necessary.
So yeah, like I said, I definitely do not think it is right to make comparisons with people and especially letting them know how you feel as well as far as comparing goes. I totally am my own client for this kind of stuff.
Let me take the popular slogan or saying again "WWJD." If you need a reminder of what that means, it stands for '"what would.Jesus do?"
Hmmm.... wow this is just my opinion and my deep thought. And, I don't think Jesus would take part in comparing other people. Why do I say that? Well first of all, to reiterate what I said before, it will only make people mad. And, Jesus is all about love and not anger or any negative bad feelings.
Seriously, if you think long and hard about it, what are you thinking? I'm thinking that comparing people is only like a road to madness. You know what I mean? I think you know exactly what I'm talking about. You know what? I think Satan likes it when people make comparisons because they will only stir up trouble.
I don't think I need to continue my writing anymore with elaborating are giving samples of what comparing does. Both comparing people makes people mad. I think that's really what the important part is we need to know so we don't do it.
2 Corinthians 10:12 NIV
We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with someone who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.
Galatians 1:10 ESV
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Encouraging thought of the day:
Just don't do it!
