Just Way Too Much!

Let's start this morning thinking of a scenario. Are you a mom or dad with more children you thought you would have, maybe all between two years apart? Are you a wife or a husband that just got diagnosed with cancer? Are you that same wife or husband who turned out to be the only one of the kids in your own family then ended up to be the thoughtful one and is now caring for your parents and letting them live with you like your home is bed of a nursing home? Oh and there's one more husband or wife who has a boss at work who is just so unreasonable and is beyond mean. However, there's just nothing you can do because you need your job! You love your parents! You love your family! God loves you!

Just thinking of that whole scenario kind of made my head hurt LOL. Because, that's a lot of stuff for one person to handle. The word overwhelming totally comes to mind. We all get overwhelmed. Well, I think. This feeling is beyond uncomfortable. This feeling beyond stinks. I get overwhelmed. You guys probably get overwhelmed. I definitely see it from other people when they get overwhelmed. Well, what should we do when we get overwhelmed? What do I think God wants us to do if we feel overwhelmed?

You know what? There's really a simple solution. Well, yeah right maybe simple to say. I don't know about simple to do with total conviction, reliance and faith.

What I'm talking about and getting at is this. If you feel too overwhelmed because you are just holding so much on your plate, then we have to pray for strength. I can't say that we should pray that the Lord would remove one of our responsibilities. He may do that but I really don't know how he's going to do that. And, that's why I can't say that we should pray that he would give strength, instead. Because, that would interfere with relying on his will.

That's why I do believe that we should definitely pray for strength because we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength!

Encouraging thought of the day:

If you are feeling to ever whelmed with something, pray for strength!

Francesca Battistelli:This Is The Stuff

Philippians 4:13 ESV
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Isaiah 41:10 ESV
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
