Oh No! He Doesn't Want That!

First of all I just want to share some thoughts I had this morning. I also need to give a shout out to this really nice gentleman who is sitting the table across from me . Hi Christian and thank you so much for getting my lipstick that fell on the floor. It was so awesome meeting you and I pray that you will be encouraged by their writings.

You know what? I just feel so blessed. So I'm going to say thank you to God for bringing me to a place where they give me hot water when my hands are cold, along with many other perks one with multiple sclerosis can really benefit from. Oh, and did I mention the awesome employees and customers I get to meet!?

I gave my writing this morning the title. "Oh no! He doesn't want that!" I'm guessing you guys are probably thinking what is Sam talking about this morning.  Who doesn't? And, he doesn't want what?

Well, time for me to do some explaining. Well, you all probably guessed correctly if you said that the "He" I'm talking about is God. Now the question is what exactly is it that God doesn't want to happen to us?

God does not want the people he created to go to hell. Satan may want that because he needs some people to boss around and torture when they all get to hell. And, I don't doubt he would want some company in the Lake of Fire when he reaches his fiery destination of becoming non-existent.

I read my morning devotion today that reminded me that our glorious God does not want his creation of the human race to spend eternity in hell. Friends, did you know that? Maybe the better question is can you believe that? I know with all my heart that spending eternity in hell is definitely what we deserve. But we can be saved from that. Why? Because Jesus chose to bear all of our sins in the past present and future. Remember there is no condemnation for any of us as long as we have the personal relationship with Christ Jesus.

Isn't it encouraging to know that God does not want us to go to hell? Remember he sent his son Jesus Christ to carry all the burden for us so we can go to heaven? Knowing that should be encouraging to you because it is so encouraging to me!  I will say it again. God does not want you to hell. However, there is a chance you may go there. See, God gave us a free will so we can decide what we want our life after death to be.

Chris Tomlin: Good Father

2 Peter 3:9 New International Version (NIV)

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Romans 8:1 ESV

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
