Before I start this morning and wanted to share some stories that happened this morning. I'm here sitting at the Starbucks so I am feeling in my heart that I want to try to give up cards. Then the Holy Spirit totally spoke in my heart and told me I can do that later because I need to finish reading my Bible devotions for the morning. So no arguing with God. And now I know why. So, okay please let me remember everything. especially names. First of all shout out to Eric and Taylor! Thank you boys for getting the cover of my venti hot water cup off the floor. Then I gave them cards of course. :-) I hope you boys are encouraged by the writings!
I also need to give a shout out to Therese. Can you imagine if I disobeyed God and started to speak to other people I might have even missed speaking to her? It turns out she is is actually a believer so it was so wonderful to meet other believers. And, we actually hugged twice!
Then, I also reconnected with Simone. She was a lady I met a while ago. I pray you would continue to be blessed by my writings. Then Priscilla, a lady I met yesterday saw me and so I said I needed a hot water for my hands. She says "I got you!" Have an awesome day ladies and gentlemen!
Wow this is already a long writing and I didn't even get to my title. I titled the writing this morning they really need you and I and you really need them! What on Earth is Sam talking about this morning?
Let me start with a little scenario that recently happened. The Lord was totally speaking to my heart about introducing my Lord to people who do not know him. If I looked at the end results logically and not passionately with a heart that He can do anything, then yeah, I totally see it as a waste of time.
Right? Who likes to waste their time? I'm thinking that common sense thing to do is not waste our time. However, if the Lord puts an opportunity in your heart and wants you to follow through with it, then we better start praying and asking God for help and asking God help us see it as not a waste of time.
So, I did just that. And, I'm not surprised I gained the victory. Victory to me was giving those who do not personally have a relationship with God a chance to hear about God's glory! They're able to hear the awesomeness that God did for other people's lives and can do for your life!
Well, I guess my title is more directed to Believers in Christ. People need to know through us believers what Christ did for us, what he is doing for us and the promise of his gift of heaven to us!
The second part of my title is you and I really need them. Don't you love it when people pray for you. Yeah you can pray to yourself and avoid possibly falling into gossip. However, don't we believe that there is power in prayer! I'm not saying that you always have to ask for prayer or you don't. I am saying listen to what your heart is telling you. I am saying that God loves it when people pray to him! Friends, did you know that? Do you believe that? God said all of that. We should believe all of that. That settles it!
