Princess Diana

Thank you my Lord Jesus for wearing a crown of thorns!

If you guys are around my age, older, or maybe little younger then you know who I'm talking about. As I write this I'm reminded that one day last week it was the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death.

When you were a little girl, probably when I was a little girl, the thought of being a princess was pretty cool to me! A glamorous life that was totally fascinating in others eyes! Princess Diana was like the human life form of cartoon princesses like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or Belle from Beauty and the Beast. All princesses end up with a Prince Charming. That's just another thing that goes along with being a princess!

And wearing a crown on her head also made you feel pretty special right?

She was adored by most people, if not everyone. The paparazzi for one was one of her "adorers." You guys can develop your own thoughts if that was a good thing or if that was a bad thing.  That's all I will say about that.

Another thing that goes with being a princess is what about having many servants waiting on you hand and foot. Nothing bad about that. Right?

Fellow Christians, God refers to his children as royalty as well. So, let's utilize and take advantage of our so-called "Royal Fame." And as my friend Carey Lewis says , " then give glory to God publicly, get deep into prayer privately, reach out with many acts of service, be a role model for little kids..."

And friends, we must never forget the crown of thorns the Lord Jesus wore for all of his children before he was crucified on the cross all for us because he loves us!

1 Peter 2:9-10 ESV

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
