The Face

You know what? I honestly feel like the Lord wanted me to write about this subject because he wants particular people or person to read this writing. I don't know, that's how I feel. Maybe I stand corrected with how I feel or I'm totally off. Anyway here goes.

First of all, let me say that this is a very common problem that pops up in about everyone's lives. You, me, you people, us people, and them people. Everyone! I am talking about people who like to walk around showing people one face and then others the other face. Seriously, these types of people should be Academy Award winning actors or actresses. It's really sad to be the one that actually sees the two faces. I would much rather not be involved if ever I was.

My question is, why do people do that? What's the point? Does it make you feel good? If someone doesn't like you, wouldn't you rather that person just act like they don't like you rather than talk behind your back but then act like they do like you? For those people doing the acting, we really should stop and be real.

I remember talking to someone who was so surprised when this person was introduced to this kind of behavior. This person, seriously never saw it from their loved ones. Wow, this person was pretty much appalled. I can't imagine how hurtful it must be coming from your loved ones.

Anyways, this person didn't like it and was hurt by it. Imagine God's feeling. I'm pretty sure he never likes it and is totally hurt by it. The moral of my reading today is keep it only to having one face. If your face always has a smile and you're in a good mood and whatever then that is a face you will show everyone. If your face doesn't necessarily have that, especially with certain people, then that is a face you must show everyone.

Exodus 20:16 ESV

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Psalm 24:4 ESV

He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.

Psalm 55:21 ESV

His speech was smooth as butter, yet war was in his heart; his words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.
