Jonah Was A Star!

Happy Monday morning! What? You don't like Mondays? Honey, don't you think you should be thankful you're even given another day of living on this Earth!?  So, let me say it again.  Happy Monday!

There have been times in my life when I felt in my heart God said to me specifically, "No, no, no Sam don't do that." Do I listen all the time? To that, I will say not all the time. Should I listen all the time? I absolutely should listen all the time. But I don't. And, you know what?  God usually has something he likes to say about my decision making. I can recall one time having the opportunity to attend this get-together with friends many years ago. I knew what "bad things" were going to be there. And, I knew that if I went there, the evil one would be having a field day because temptation would be running rampant. So, I did not think that God wanted me to attend this little get together.

The story continues with me not listening to God, and I went. Let's just say I fell into temptation. And, I think God was pretty unhappy and he had consequences for me already lined up. And that's all I would like to say about that.

Even if you don't know the Bible that much, I'm pretty sure you heard about the story of somebody from the Bible getting swallowed up by a whale. Right? Well, let me tell you about that story.

The guy's name was Jonah. Basically, the lord gave Jonah instructions to do something. And Jonah refused to do that something and actually went the opposite direction and did not follow God's directions. What he did was get on the ship to try to run away from God.

Well I'm thinking thank God for not having me swallowed up by a big fish for not following his guiding. LOL But, poor Jonah was swallowed by a big fish.

Friends, take it from me, and probably Jonah, as well. If you feel like God is telling you to do something and you choose not to do it, prepare for maybe some really dire consequences. I suggest skipping the saying of no and just following what God says. It's up to you though. I just think our mind should be with whatever God wants us to do and we should be obedient and just say yes Lord yes!

Here is the Story of Jonah for your reading pleasure. :)
