I said many times that my memory is weird. I have a great long-term memory. I do remember many years ago being a little kid but my eyes and ears were open and immediately attracted to the latest gossip a kid doesn't usually hear.
I'm talking about infidelity and adultery. Just those words give out a yucky feeling. That's probably why I didn't want to put it in my title. I hope none of you guys ever ever experienced it either because of yourself doing the wrong or your partner turning to wickedness. In this day and age, who knows?
I'm not going to name any names but I will share situations. First situation was when I was a kid and I heard of so and so having an affair with so and so. The partner found out about the affair, and saw with their own eyes the infidelity! That provoked the person to shoot the two parties engaging in the wrong, and then shooting themself.
A more recent story I just heard was about so and so hearing that their significant other, not yet a spouse, was having another relationship with a different person. This jealous partner was at the door of their house at 4 a.m. in the morning, apparently thinking that the male would open the door while the female stayed in bed. Then, as soon as he opens the door the shooter on the other side of the door shot him several times in the chest.
Days later the shooter was captured by the police and is now serving time in jail. The first story I shared took three lives away. The Second Story took one life away. Sadly to say, both parties that died left behind children. I have no idea what is going on in their heads, but I do know of one child who really would like to speak to the killer and ask why he killed their father.
Friends, this is some serious, and can be deadly, stuff. This reminds me of the Bible story of Bathsheba, David, and Uriah. Basically, Bathsheba was having an affair with David and David had Uriah, her husband, killed. Why did David kill Uriah? Probably because he was in the way of his affair with Bathsheba.
I'm pretty sure God really does not like that evil "A" word. However, God does love us. God does love his children. We may not understand why we do certain things, but that doesn't matter because God gets it! And, the best part is if you accept him into your heart as Lord and Savior he promises to always be with you no matter what. And, he will forgive you for whatever sin you did. We just need to ask Him! Friends, if we don't ask him for forgiveness or even forgive within ourselves what we did, then all we are doing is letting the sadness linger. And, we wouldn't want that because it would just grow stronger until it totally eats us up, so to speak.
Encouraging thought of the day:
Tell your loved one you love them. Ask God to help you in any way so you can keep your vow and your promise to them. Ask yourself is it time to work on restoring?
