Before I begin my reading for this morning, I would like to apologize for not having a writing yesterday. I actually had a routine doctors appointment. And, praise God I was able to give two of my cards with my blog and link to my cooking show to two ladies who were helping out my doctor that morning. So, Hi to Andrea and Emily! Yeah I remember their names lol :-) And to my doctor, who assured me that he still has my card. So I made sure to have him check it out so that he will be encouraged before he does his thing of examining patients. So, to the three of you I pray you will begin the day with encouragement from reading my blog! It was great meeting you guys, and as my doctor said, I'm a complicated one LOL. But, like I said yesterday, God helps me all the time!
Time to dive in! For today's writing, I'm going to combine some thoughts from my Daily Bread Bible Devotional along with some Hands-On thoughts and an actual experience this morning I had, as well. My thinking is I had to go through Rough Waters in order for God to show me that he can calm the storm. And, now God would like me to share my thoughts with you guys!
With this subject I'm going to write about, I can only speak for myself and my own feeling about this. You all are smart beautiful people, so I pray you can formulate your own thoughts, and I also pray that the Lord can affect your hearts and make you realize if you are doing something wrong with your thinking before speaking.
Okay, this morning I messed up because I let my mouth run wild before I even had a thought in my mind about what I was going to say. Big mistake. Huge!
You know what I should do and keep in my mind? Well, I know I totally don't, unfortunately. That is the positives about the loved one, in my case my husband. I need to keep in my heart and my head all the things he does for me, and that's a lot! I need to stop focusing on the negatives. If I would think about it, the positives totally outweigh the negatives. By the way, remember my husband is married to a very disabled person. So, I think he deserves Kudos big time!
Not only is it important for you and your relationship to your loved one to focus on your loved ones' positive characteristics rather than in the negative, it is also important for your own soul, your own mind, and your own heart. It is important for your own self motivation too much to do the right thing!
So, in closing, do you want to have a good relationship with your loved ones? Friends, and Sam, you know what you have to do and not do! I'll say it again, stick to the positives and I only speak words of encouragement to your loved ones!
Encouraging Thought of The Day:
Stick to the positives! Only speak words of encouragement! Let's all Speak Life!
