Our God Gave It Up

Happy Monday! When the Lord speaks to my heart and I feel like telling so and so about Christ, well, I try to focus on one thing. Do you know what that is? Well, I'll tell you what I try not to focus on. Yeah, it's beautiful when I tell people what I personally gave up to be a committed follower of Jesus Christ. However, it's not enough. And, to reiterate yeah you may think it's beautiful, but some might not even have a care in the world of what happened in my life. Don't get me wrong. People are usually only self motivated and kind of a little selfish, I think, when it comes to saving their own life or another person's life. Do you understand what I mean? That may not be the case with everybody but I think in our society, people choose not to go out of the norm, and would probably choose to save their own lives rather than someone else's. Personally, I have no idea what I would do. I know I'm not perfect. Well, that's all I want to say about that.

What we need to supremely wrap our minds around and proclaim to the lost unbelievers is this. We need to focus on what Jesus Christ gave up for you, me, and everybody!  My friends, just think about what you are about to read. Jesus Christ gave his life up for you, me, and everybody! For that, we should be so thankful and that should make us want to be committed followers of Jesus Christ and acknowledge Him as not only our savior, but our Lord!

Can you say that? Would you be able to die for someone? I don't know what situation you may be in, you may be able to die for someone. I wouldn't know that. Everyone is different.  I'm just saying that dying for someone is not really considered the norm. Meaning, I don't hear a lot about that subject on the News, or on Social Media.

You know what? I'm thinking if media was around during the time when Jesus died for us. That would probably be like a special report they will interrupt our regularly scheduled program. Again, that would only be if the technology was majorly advanced and very similar to today's time.

Anyway, there you have it folks.  Jesus Christ died for us. He died for the forgiveness of our sins. All of our sins he took with him on that cross when he died! The moral of my writing is Jesus Christ died for you, me, and everybody! Why did Jesus Christ die for us? The short answer is because Jesus Christ loves us! Now, let me end my writing with what my old Pastor David Yount loved to say.

He said, "Christ died for us. I believe that. That settles it!" Folks if you did not get anything from my reading I hope you will remember the last thing I just wrote.

Encouraging thought of the day:

Christ died for us. I believe that. That settles it! (DY)

Hillsong: Amazing Love

1 Corinthians 15:3 ESV

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,

John 3:16 ESV

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 2:2 ESV

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
