Priorities: To Go Back Up Or To Keep Going

This was actually the writing from yesterday.

Before I start my writing I want to send a shout out to Gian, Curtis, and Dennis. My caregiver was a little late today and now I know why. I had the opportunity to ask someone to give me hot water and I was able to give out my cards to Gian and a few others. So thanks again guys and so hope you will be encouraged by my writings. Let's dive in.

I have a topic in mind but I have no idea how I will be going about doing this so I'm going to ask God to help me. Once again, my caregiver is typing out for me as I dictate and I really appreciate her help. Aren't I blessed??!!

My husband is really crazy sometimes, well I mean a good kind of crazy. I did not even notice but he hasn't been wearing gloves when we went outside. And the weather has been in the 30s. Today when we were leaving home he realized he forgot his gloves again. I said what you haven't been wearing gloves? Friends it's 30 degrees outside. I told him you want to go back up to get them? He said they were probably in one of his jackets but he wasn't sure. He said he was fine without the gloves. I guess he just was going to tough it out. That is what he was doing anyway.

There might have been multiple reasons why he didn't want to go back. Time schedule, maybe not knowing exactly where they were, and plus, he wanted to get breakfast. So that makes sense.

I guess that kinda reminds me of us with God. What I mean is God is our number one priority but sometimes we tend to pay more attention to other things and make them a top priority ahead of God. Do you know what I am saying? Folks, is God your number one priority? Would you put him on hold instead of doing your Bible devotional? Or, would you rather watch your television show first, then do your devotional? Do you choose to sleep in on Sunday morning instead of choosing to go to church? I will say it again God should be our number one priority not other stuff.

See, Joe knew he had a lot of work so, he sacrificed not going back up for his gloves. What about us, are we sacrificing our own pleasures and leisurely activities so that we can spend time, more time, with God?

I am not saying that everybody should not go back and get their gloves if they forget them. Lord knows I would have went back and got my gloves. All I am saying is God will speak to your heart. For me, God knows my hands would probably freeze. So, I am thinking because he loves me, he would want me to have gloves. Joe is such a strong man inside and out. Seriously, he's a trooper so he can take the cold. He's a trooper!

Encouraging thought of the day:

Jesus speaks to hearts do you hear it, do you feel it?

Matthew 6:33 ESV

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Luke 12:34 ESV

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Exodus 20:3 ESV

“You shall have no other gods before me.
