Ironically, Herod put on a disguise to make himself look like a lover of Jesus. I remember the story of Herod telling the 3 wise men to find the baby Jesus and bring him to Herod so he can worship Him like all his other followers. That was a lie! He just wanted to kill him.
What a liar! Herod was totally fake! There are people like that right now who are "pretending" to be lovers of Jesus Christ. But their lives and their thoughts very much contradict the words of God. Something to think about.
I don't believe in karma and I know it is not of God. However, I do believe that those who go against the will of God and do super bad things will eventually reap what they sow. Check out these things that Pastor Greg Laurie included in one of his devotions.
"Herod ended up on the ash heap of history like dictators before and after him, reminding us that those who live wicked lives eventually will reap what they sow. Adolf Hitler went into his bunker and shot himself as his nation crumbled around him. Saddam Hussein was found hiding in a hole and was eventually executed by his own people. Muammar Gaddafi was hunted down by his own people, beaten, and shot to death. Historical writings tell us that in the final year of his life, his body was infected with disease."I don't know about you guys but I totally get it. People who blaspheme the name of God, or try to interfere with the work of God, or people who are just ultimately mean to other people; those are the people God hates and those are the people who really get it bad!
The good news is:
"One day, everyone—every man, every woman, every believer, and every nonbeliever—will bow before Jesus Christ." (GL)
