Trust God Like They Did

Before I start my writing I just want to say "Hi" to Carolyn.  She is a nice lady on the train my caregiver gave a card to yesterday and a shout-out to Nash.  Nash was a really nice guy sitting at a table across from me this morning. I hope and pray you Nash and you Carolyn would be encouraged by my writings. Remember to start your day with encouragement!

I know exactly how you guys may feel sometimes. It's difficult. What I'm talking about is trusting God. It's difficult to trust God. Am I right?  I'll tell you something though.Though it may be difficult, it's something we must do. You know what I do if I ever have a hard time trusting God?  I pray. I pray for strength. I pray for trust. I pray for determined faith.

Do you know what I think of from the Bible when I'm having trouble keeping the faith?  I think of the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.  Long story short, these three men refused to bow down to some gold statue or something.  Since they were forbidden to bow down to any other God, they refused. So King Nebuchadnezzar threw them in a furnace of burning fire.  The end result was they did not get burned!

Friends, they were told to worship another God. They refused and were not going to do it. Look at that.  Their faith was so strong, as it should have been, and God totally helped them.

You guys really should read the story to get all the details. I always feel so blessed when I think of this story. And, it does wonders for my faith when if you know it is getting weak. God didn't leave Shadrach, Meshach, or Abednego in their time of need and neither will he leave you and me in our time of need!

Encouraging thought of the day:

God will never leave us when we need him
