I remember when I was younger much younger like grade school. I can't remember what class it was. But, I do remember that one of the assignments was that we were all given seeds. We were supposed to plant the seeds and then monitor the growth of how big our flowers would get. I remember the other kids' flowers would get really nice and big. To this day I don't know why mine never really grew. Lol
Oh I also remember there was a Chia Pet phase of mine. I think everybody tried this thing at least once right. I thought it was so cool! That didn't last very long. LOL
My last planting story had to do with watermelon seeds. When I was younger I really loved to eat watermelon. I like it now but not as much as before. Or, maybe I do? I forgot. Anyway. So, as a kid I thought that if I would save the watermelon seeds when I would eat watermelon I will do something. I would plant the watermelon seeds and then they would grow to become watermelon! Yeah, so that didn't happen. Lol look at that now we even have seedless watermelon! That wouldn't work for me if I was a kid again LOL.
Why on Earth is Sam sharing these planting stories? Let me tell you. Let me talk to fellow Believers right now. Hi guys let me ask you something. Are you in the business of planting right now? Actually, that question goes to myself as well.
So, yeah are we in the business of planting right now? Well, personally for me the answer is yes and no. Probably more no than yes. I mean this blog I have here can constitute for a little planting. However, I know I could do more to tell more people about Jesus. Are we forgetting what God wants us to do? Are we forgetting what we need to do as Believers of Christ?
Fellow Believers, every time you tell somebody about Jesus we are planting a seed in their heart. I'm not going to say that that seed will grow and grow and they will become Believers of Christ. That would be awesome, but we don't know that. Some seeds never take root. Some seeds will just have a temporary time spent with Jesus.
Fellow believers, planting that seed in someone's heart may bear fruit. You guys might have a huge impact on someone's life. You might see that person in heaven because you introduced that person to Jesus Christ and the gospel!
Can you imagine? Let me close with something I will never forget. I had a friend many years ago who thought that he was about to die because of this. He got into a pretty bad car accident. But, the Lord spared his life. At the time I was really on fire for God. So, I shared Jesus and the gospel with my friend and he decided to leave his life of not believing in Jesus Christ. He is now my brother in Christ! See what the seed that I planted grew to become? It blossomed all the way up to his car accident!

John 15:5 NIV
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
