Genesis Series Part 50: Even When We Mess Up

First of all, I just want to share something with you guys that will bring you some extra inspiration and encouragement for the day. For months, maybe a year I don't know, but for some time I have been off the treadmill. Recently I felt in my heart that God wanted me to get back on the treadmill. Unfortunately, due to my lack of convincing my husband that I have the ability to stand up on my own, he refused to take me to the gym. Today, I knew I was ready again.

Today I woke up feeling the Lord was saying it to my heart, "today's the day Sam!" So I got ready and made sure Joe was not going to be late for work. And he graciously took me to LA Fitness so I can get on the treadmil. Understandable, he was so scared that I would fall. So he held onto my waist tightly in the beginning. Then I was able to do 10-20 second reps with 10 second rest breaks. And the end result was like a minute and a half total!

My husband was so surprised I was able to do that much. I take no credit whatsoever. That was all the Lord! When we got to Starbucks Joe gotgot pancakes from Corner Bakery across the street. I believe he was treating me because I did so good on the treadmill this morning. That was also our tribute to National Pancake Day! They gave so much, I saved Aundrewell a plate. Thanks, Sam, this is Aundrewell. I love the pancakes and I will miss you and Joe dearly while I am gone a couple weeks due to health reasons. Back to Samantha. Please pray for Aundrewell and her health for the next couple of weeks. Thanks!

When I got to Starbucks this morning and read my morning bible devotional, the verse of the day, was Philippians 4:13 which says "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!" Time to write!

Before I start my writing let me just say hello and thank you to Craig! Help me Jesus! I have a really bad headache right now. So, only by the grace of God am I even able do this! So, what had happen was I dropped my charger and turned my head and saw this man sitting in the tall tables kitty corner from me. I asked him if he can get my charger and he did! Of course, I gave him a card! Pray you will be encouraged by the writings Craig!

Well, first of all, Aundrewell is not here yet. And can you believe I forgot my first cup of hot water. Oh man it was the pancakes, I think. Anyway, so I asked this lady if she can get me hot water and so she came back and, of course, I gave her a card. She accepted it but then, (and this is a first for
me LOL, So clever too) I asked her what her name was, first of all, and it was Katherein. Isn't that spelling of her name so unique? Anyway, she did the most smart thing! She didn't accept my card, because she said she would just take a picture of it so she took
out her phone and was about to take a picture. And, I said no you dork. Sorry for calling you a dork. I was trying to say it in the most loving of ways. Basically, I told her to keep the card! I probably would have let her take a picture of it if I was down to my last card. However, today is not the day buddies! I told her I was going to give her a shout out, just like I do with anyone who ever I give a card to! Girl, I pray you will be encouraged by the writings! And, thanks again for the hot water my hands feel glorious! Time to write today about the Genesis series!

This is Aundrewell giving an example for today. Today society blames the media and music for people's actions of wrong doing. Media blames the parents and society, environment, neighborhoods, for people's wrong actions. Instead of blaming someone else for the wrong action, admit to wrongful doing and correct the mistake, or better yet, don't do what's wrong no matter how good temptation looks.

Yesterday there was a lost little girl looking for her daddy in grocery store. So, I stopped to help her with the assistance of a sales rep. named Melissa. We found the little girl’s father and I gave Melissa a card. Thanks for helping and may you be encouraged by the writings of Samantha. Back to Samantha!

God is good? All the time! All the time? God is good! Do you believe that? There are just too many incidents of me "messing up" so I can't just really focus on just one. So just know there are so many times of me messing up. I could explain them more, but I would be sitting here at Starbucks all day and then some. So, all I want you guys to know is our Lord is awesome! He loves us and he even provides for us when we mess up! Keep reading for the perfect example of how God did his thing for the first two people in this world.

Do you guys remember the story of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit and giving them the knowledge of Good and Evil? Well, one thing I wanted to point out that totally gave Adam and Eve a "Eureka" thought was that they realized they were naked. They felt so ashamed. You know what they did? They took some fig leaves and used them to cover their private parts. The Lord came back to the garden and acted as if he didn't know of what they have done. Then the Lord called out for Adam and Eve, "where are you?" Then Adam and Eve popped out and said, "we were hiding because we're naked!" Then the Lord said, " who told you that you were naked? Did you eat fruit from the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil?" And Adam said, " The woman that you put here made me do it." Look at that. Adam was blaming God when all God cared about was providing a companion for the man. When it was the woman's turn to speak she blamed it on the serpent. You guys can imagine that mess.

Despite their huge mess up. The Lord was still good to them. God could have done a lot worse like he could have made them nonexistant. However, God is not like that. Remember we have a good God that loves us. All of us. You know what God did?
The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. Genesis 3:21 NIV
Here is what else he said about that mess up.
And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Genesis
 3:22-24 NIV
