Happy Monday! For my writing today, I want to write about something most of us married, single, or just dating, or maybe not dating, struggle with. And that is lust in your eyes. Remember I said in a previous writing how it says in the Bible God considers lust over someone other than your spouse adultery?
This question is for all you men and women out there. Do any of you guys like to watch pornography on TV or the computer? Or, the better question is do you like to go to the strip clubs?
Both of the questions are bad and could lead to some form of adultery. I remember hearing about someone devilishly clicking on some porn sites. He ended up engaging in marital activities usually in the bedroom but this time on the computer screen with another woman. His wife opened the door and saw the whole thing. How do you think their marriage ended up?
Folks, nobody on this Earth is perfect. Anybody can fall into adultery. Let's thank God you are not currently one of them. Or, pray to God for holy discipline for yourself when it comes to that stuff.
My caregiver just told me something I didn't even know. Hi, everyone, this is Aundrewell. I was telling Sam how a few years ago the famous gospel rapper Kirk Franklin came out publicly admitting to being addicted to porn and blamed it on a sex addiction. His career was tarnished, and don't quote me, but I believe his wife agreed to stay if he sought help spiritually and mentally. Now it's years of him trying to build his good reputation back after a bad action of adultery, which could have been worse.
Hi, guys, it's Sam again. Thanks Aundrewell for letting us know about that story. Wow, that story was pretty inspiring. I don't think there are too many people like Kirk Franklin's wife. She forgave him for hurting her. Now that is Grace!
Oh, I just thought of something. I guess often going to strip clubs would make a person more liable for real hands on adultery. I remember before way back once in a blue moon, I saw this. I was watching a movie. I can't remember the name. There was a gentleman who was married but having marital problems. He started going to the strip clubs. He was lusting very heavily over one of the ladies. Her naked body was pleasing to his eyes. The lady saw he was married but didn't care. She came on to this married man, he came on unto her.The next scene was them at a motel. What do you guys think what happened next?
For this writing, we're taking it all the way back to the beginning of Genesis in the story of Adam and Eve. Do you all remember anything about that story?
Just to recap in case you guys forgot, this is what happened. The Lord told Adam and Eve they can eat fruit from any tree except the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. One day the serpent was talking to Eve and was trying to get her to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. God told them they can eat from any tree in the garden except for that tree.
Eve had told the serpent that God told them they would die if they ate from that tree. The serpent told Eve they're not going to die. The truth is, he says, is if they ate from the tree they would know knowledge of Good and Evil. Good stuff and the bad stuff. The serpent kept on trying to tempt and enticed Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. Eve couldn't help herself and was falling deeper into temptation because the forbidden fruit was pleasing to her eyes.
The final result was that she gave in to temptation and Adam did too. Because of what they did, we all are paying the consequences.

Encouraging thought of the day:
Show love and respect to your spouse.
1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
James 4:7 ESV
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Matthew 5:28 ESV
But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
